I also thank you GrovePath...you are my CNN of JC. So why is it that you have not started your own information network?

Hudson Reporter

Hoboken, NJ 07030
phone: 201-798-7800

Founded in 1983, The Hudson Reporter publishes nine weekly newspapers, capturing the highest home-delivered circulation of any newspaper in Hudson County. Our award-winning periodicals also include specialty publications and two, glossy magazines: Jersey City Magazine and Palisade.

The past few years have brought tremendous change to the western banks of the Hudson River.

As newcomers flock to the area and explore their surroundings, long-time residents are meeting their neighbors - and discovering new opportunities - at every turn.

Luxury developments line the riverbanks, and boutiques, restaurants and art galleries are opening every week. Young families fill the streets with baby carriages. Empty nesters and young artists wait together for trains running along the expanding light rail system.

But change can be hard. Transformation does not come easily.

How does one gain a sense of community in a new and evolving place? Where can you turn for resources, entertainment and a bird's-eye view of our home along the Hudson?

We created www.hudsonreporter.com to answer some of those questions, yet we hope it will do more. We'd like our site to be a sort of meeting place a town square, if you will, where you can read about the people, politics and places that make living here so exciting.

I do like the fact that GrovePath is always posting the news articles here. I like to read what comments other locals have. I still do read all the stories on NJ.com anyway but that is because he doesnt post every article I would like to read. It seems he sometimes purposly leaves out articles that I know other people on here would like to read or comment on. Thats no big deal though because usually me or a few others just post them when we see he left them out.

I only wish he would learn the streets and neighborhoods already, he has lived here long enough. lol

Besides posting new clips - Grovepath has been known to chime in on other topics (not touching the realestate thing)... he actually knows a thing or two about boilers and other useful info on stuff that comes up.

see this post -

You really remind me of quite a few other LOONY posters on here!

using JClist as a main source of information seems like a recipe for disaster

Personally, I find RSS services from the main news websites a quite useful way of filtering just the information I am interested in and avoiding overload. As for the "big" newspapers, do they get paid by the word or what?

I'm not a big fan of the TV and I don't even read the big newspapers (much) and so I hear about important things through the grapevine, and learn about stories right here on JCList which I do check on a daily basis.

Thank you GrovePath for taking the time to post newspaper articles for me to read and catch up. I really do appreciate it!!!
