Like TRUMP, Fidel Castro had supporters - They will be mourning his death in Cuba for 9 days, while others are celebrating his death in Florida.

Guess you've had your head in the sand for the past several decades. Back on planet Earth, the extremely "progressive" Prime Minister of Canada reacted with "deep sorrow" to the death of "Cuba's longest serving President," who was a "remarkable leader." A very bad year for the Democrats indeed. http://pm.gc.ca/eng/news/2016/11/26/s ... an-president-fidel-castro

On the legislative front...... Reported by the WSJ
The NRA is working with the Congress Critters to prepare a number of bills once Trump takes office. The one that will have the biggest effect on NJ is requiring states (like with driver's licenses) offer reciprocity when it comes to concealed carry permits. If passed as a NJ resident, you could apply for an out of state permit in another state that offers it. NJ would then be forced to honor it. NJ could also do what Illinois did (ordered by the 7th Circuit court via the expansion of the Heller decision) and become a 'shall issue' state. NJ does have concealed carry.. but it is generally reserved to those who have the right political connections.

I think we have different definitions of "caved" because personally, I'm glad Obama hasn't gotten involved in a bunch of wars just so we can dick swing with Russia. Not like Republicans would do any differently, they'd probably just watch and then praise how manly and handsome he looked while doing it, and then get on their knees. Quote:

What is not to believe? The socialist democrats have always spoken favorably of Fidel and his island utopia. Republicans historically have been anti-communist though they have not been adverse to geo-political alliances.
Currently Putin and Trump agree the war against global Islamic Jihad and ISIS is the common objective... who knows what follows? Quote:

And it's a really odd critique considering the Republican party is best friends with Vladimir Putin. I never have understood why Republicans (and especially Trump) are so fond of a Soviet-era ex-KGB dictator. Seems borderline treasonous.

Very bad year for the democrats... Hillary looses the election and now they've lost their most favorite totalitarian butcher, Fidel Castro.
They will need Air Force 1 and 2 to get Obama, Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, Sanders and all the DNC and the US media rump swabs down to Havana. I am willing to bet CNN, MSNBC, NBC will broadcast live... the best thing about this is that Trump can finish his cabinet appointment etc. without all the left wing media BS of the last 2 weeks. A fine way to memorialize the end of the Obama Presidency and the democrat party... with BHO giving the eulogy at Castro's Funeral.

I grew up in a mostly Jewish neighborhood, and many of my closest friends are Jews. But when I read that Breitbart is alt-right and pro-Nazi, it cracks me up-Breitbart conceived Breitbart News while on a trip to Israel, he and his co-founder were Jewish, and one of Breitbart's platform is to support Israel. Sure sounds like a bunch of neo-Nazis to me! And yes, you can be somewhat critical of Israel with being anti-Semitic-as you can be critical of Obama without being racist, but tell that to any Democrat and they'll dispute it.

i just can't wait to see trump and his supporters eat crow in 2020 because we know manufacturing jobs are NOT coming back to the US en masse. and guess what, higher interest rates and a stronger dollar will not help matters.

LOL What is this obsession of yours to dress-up violent left-wing extremist organizations like BLM or leftist media like HuffPo as the final arbiters of truth and justice (normally, I would add the American Way, but I know how that phrase puts off progressives, thinking of America as the ideal country).... but I digress.
Parroting typical indoctrinated leftist totalitarian thinking, you truly believe there can be no difference of opinions, free exchange of ideas or that this country has not made any progress since the founding fathers wrote the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. And everybody else who does not share your leftist view is a..... NAZI! You would not make a good mediator. Quote:

California has plenty of say now through their electoral college votes. The system wasn't designed for them to get any more say and it is not going to change. (Fun fact, current "progressive" icon Alexander Hamilton was the one who heavily advocated for the Electoral College system and was very much opposed to direct democracy). Adapt to the rules or leave.
And you're right that I oppose affirmative action programs that discriminate against applicants on the basis of their race. One of the nice benefits of a Trump presidency is his SCOTUS will be able to finally scrap those programs. They can be replaced by fairer ones that provide advantages based on economic background and not race. And you can prattle about people voting "against their interest" all you want. It's not very persuasive, or accurate. You can continue to have a temper tantrum about the results, but as the country moves on, many in the heartland will benefit from Trump's policies, and his approval ratings will only continue to rise. You're equating a group that champions women's rights, works to protect the LGBT and minority communities, promotes policies to help the poor, such as minimum wages and subsidized health care to a bunch of Nazis?

California is the 6th largest economy in the world, bigger than that of France. So they should have more say.
This is akin to equal-opportunity programs which I'm sure you oppose. I think those people in the heartland who gave him the win is going to be disappointed. Maybe this time they'll realize they voted against their interest. Quote:

and this somehow makes up for appointing Steve Bannon, famous for leading the racist, sexist ?alt-right? website Breitbart, to be his chief strategist?
Or Jeff Sessions as AG? whose nomination for a federal judgeship in 1986 was rejected because of racially charged comments and action? http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/17/us/ ... 00219ECE1380BF131&gwt=pay Quote:

S.O.S---our opinions may differ, but my hat is off to you for being so even handed in your comment. I think each side goes off the rails when the other side has an utterly binary mindset. There are two sides to each coin. And, yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all.
