I went back to miso ramen again to give it another try, and I can honestly say the ramen there is just horrible.
The main problem is their broth - it is completely made from artificial junk, you can taste the chemicals in the soup. To make matter worse, the soup is so greasy and salty. The whole thing is a combination of a sodium overload, greasy oil, and chemicals. I was actually sick afterwards - and i am very tolerant of trying all types of food. If you are looking to kick the can sooner than later, definitely have a bowl of this chemistry experiment every day. It tastes worse than the 99 cent instant noodles in a cup. I really cannot comprehend how so many people think the ramen here is good - they are absolutely FAKE and not how ramen suppose to be. For decent ramen - goto komegeshi on montgomery. And for very good ramen - goto mitsuwa supermarket's santouka takeout in edgewater. There are also many decent ramen places in the city. Anyway to each of his own - i will definitely not be going back there - horrible taste horrible ingredients. No thanks

I went there for lunch today. I had the chasu ramen.
CHASU RAMEN $13 Chashu pork, sesame, menma (bamboo shoots) mushroom, scallions, black garlic oil, nitamago (soft-boiled seasoned egg) I thought it was salty. The noodles were a little too al dente. The bamboo shoots and mushroom were miniscule. The meat was chewy and taste like the grill. I had tastier ramen in the Village in New York, and they give more toppings. If I don't want to travel, I much prefer the basic pork chop noodle soup for $8 at Taste of North China. It's not gourmet but it is satisfying.

I went two nights ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The Ramen was al dente and broth, chashu were delicious. I didn't find it overpriced considering the portion size was remarkably bigger than most ramen places I frequent; Mitsuwa included. My one criticism is that they could offer add-ons (nori, corn, etc). Service was great. My dinner companion ordered extra noodles on the side which stiffened up over time. The chef noticed her struggling to loosen them and approached us to offer her another order. She declined since the noodles softened up once put in the broth. Overall a great experience and a welcome addition the DTJC.

Overall i agree with most, the experience is nice. The gentleman who greets you as you enter is very accommodating and pleasant. The staff are also very good. I did think that the noodles were a tad al-dente, almost how I would prefer my spaghetti noodles to be. Flavors and portion size were good. My wife and I got 2 starters and 2 bowls and our bill was $47 before tax and tip. Not cheap, but they are BYOB which is a plus.

I went at around 6pm by myself. The service seemed very prompt so maybe that was something that was ironed out since that was one of the reoccurring concerns here when they first opened.
I had low expectations of this place bc the outside looked kind of chain-y. The pork ramen was delicious. The pork was cooked to perfection, super tender and they give you a generous portion. The soup was great, very flavorful, not too salty. This place would be a success in the city. I was thoroughly impressed. The only negative review I had was that the noodles were a little too al-dente, just barely. Other than that I had a great experience and will be back to try the other items on the menu.

Dudes, let's stay on topic.
Finally went to Miso Ramen last night and I really enjoyed it. Pork belly and gyoza apps were both very good. I got the Chusan Ramen with the Tonkatsu broth. Loved it. I had heard they were having some server slowdown issues and food delivery issues their first week so I waited it out and I didn't find any of that to the case. We were seated, with a baby, instantly and our food was in front of us in under 10 minutes. Works for me. Stoked for the ownership. I've been working near them for a while now and got to know them. They're great guys and I'm excited that their place is open and doing well. Also excited that the food is good too so I don't have to do that nervous half smile, "Yeeeeeah, no, it was greeeeat." ha

I only tried it once and enjoyed the tonkotsu ramen with pork belly. Have lived in tokyo so i know how ramen should taste. The broth tasted rich. The topping was actually generous and large for japanese standards. It is a little fatty for my taste but that's where the flavor is :) They should consider charring the pork belly skin a little bit for more flavor. The ramen was their own house brand, it was ok but i think slightly overcooked so it lacked the chew. I'm limiting further comments until I try it a few more times as I really like to see this place succeed. The other poster about Komegashi is right. The ramen there is fine. Not the same level of intense tonkotsu (pork bone flavor) but totally acceptable.

it was alright - not i-am-eating-vomit talde bad, but also nothing special. Just your fast food instant ramen variety. The broth is a chemistry experiment, noodle they did make it fresh in house i believe, topping is the chinatown takeout quality.
Nothing special, definitely does not warrant the hype of long lines and 30 min to get a bowl after ordering. For local ramen, komegeshi on montgomery is still many times better. And if you venture further out to flushing/chinatown, there are many good options. PS: i got the oxtail raman, dont bother, get some cheaper option instead. It's no way authentic, they just put a few thin slices of beef in it and charge you $18.

We stopped by yesterday for dinner, but the man at the door informed us that they had some "kitchen backup issues" earlier in the evening and orders were taking a long time to come out. Opening-week kinks. We appreciated that the man was upfront about it, and we decided to go somewhere else instead. The space looks nice and we look forward to trying it soon, once they get the kitchen up and running smoothly.
Have any 'listers actually eaten here yet?

I was looking forward to trying them out....but it turns out that the two types of broths that they use for their ramen...are meat based. No ramen for me, sigh. I wish them luck still.

I'm sure they're planning on ASAP, so long as it's ready.
You only get one chance at a first impression. Just by the by, I've been working next door to these guys for the duration of their buildout and the owners are really great guys and seem quite sincere about their mission to dispense delicious ramen at affordable prices. I got a look at both the menu and pricing as well as a tour of the place and I am really excited for it to open. Solid dudes. Solid looking menu. Will consume many noodles. Shit, I should have put that in haiku format.

Today the graffiti was removed from the windows.
Maybe they can actually be creative and tag something like "Mee Soo Horny Ram In" next time.

My thoughts exactly. A damn shame. Here is someone investing money in the community by taking a risk opening a new restaurant, and some asshole tags the entire storefront.
