Yeah, you may as well stop smearing Symes. Your posts smack of desperation. Give it up.

It has a very poor rating (2/10) on Great Schools. So definitely not one of the best. Hopefully they will find someone to bring that school into the 21st Century.

4. What is also interesting is that I've stumbled across construction companies with various names that operated in JC/NJ and here, with slightly alternative names but appear to be the same company !

What are the names you've found?

This sounds like an interesting idea I'd like to explore. Any recommendations for a quality HD antenna?

Re: Miso Ramen

I went two nights ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The Ramen was al dente and broth, chashu were delicious. I didn't find it overpriced considering
the portion size was remarkably bigger than most ramen places I frequent; Mitsuwa included.
My one criticism is that they could offer add-ons (nori, corn, etc). Service was great.
My dinner companion ordered extra noodles on the side which stiffened up over time.
The chef noticed her struggling to loosen them and approached us to offer her another order.
She declined since the noodles softened up once put in the broth. Overall a great experience and a welcome
addition the DTJC.

Pathetic.

How long before Newport Mall is demolished and replaced like the new Hudson Exchange community? 10-15 years?

Why such a suburban mall next to PATH and a lightrail stop, 7 minutes from midtown and downtown Manhattan.

Are there any statistics on how well that mall's actually doing? From what I see, it's mostly mid-range stores I can find in teh city or any other suburb. I can't imagine anybody from outside of JC driving to visit it. If people wanna go to a mall, they'll probably go out for a nicer experience at Short Hills.

Though the movie theater is nice...they can tear the rest down and keep that.

Seems like it's another generational thing that'll be obsolete in 10 years. The mall rats generation is long gone, nobody wants to be cooped up in these things anymore.

Hope House takes donations, and you can hand it directly to them.

Agreed! As an owner, I'm all for gentrification.

Wow, this really looks like the middle of nowhere, I just checked it out on the map. Probably fine for people who drive everywhere, but no neighborhood to speak of. Once again, it's all about the 3L's.

Many of the schools are doing 'sneak a peek' week where parents can come visit school, meet the teachers, and ask questions. They are not all scheduled on the same night because many parents want to visit multiple schools so call the school and ask them when they are having it. I think it is happening at the end of Feb or early march.

Jersey City has a lot of schools and each one is unique so it's worth the effort to visit. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Does this matter if you can still only go to the school you're zoned for?

Agreed... that's at least half the reason I come here. Like the above passionate defender of what he imagines the constitution to be.

Ha! Me too. It's very entertaining. I guess ignorance (button) is bliss for some folks.
