Then they might be out of business.

Their phone is disconnected, as in "beep beep beep- the number you dialed is not in service".

I always got the impression this was not a real business, or that the owners just didn't care. It was never promo'd by them. They didn't seem to know what they were doing, and the food just wasn't that good. The pizza however was ok. How long were they in business? 3 months?

Does anyone know if Victoria's is out of business? I tried calling yesterday/today and their phone disconnected.

Great people, I picked up the pizza, but it was a tad undercooked, as opposed to just cold. It would have been a great pizza pie if was fully cooked. Will definately go back to get a better sampling. It's a great location for the SW local of the old Italian section.

The pizza is a pretty good slice. I've been in a few times. Last time I went I got the fettuccine, and I thought it was cool that I was given the choice of the homemade fettuccine or the out of the box kind. I went with the homemade and it was quite excellent. Also had the wings, which I was really impressed with. I just wish the service was a little faster.

Went to this place today - couldn't pass up trying a new Italian place in the Italian Village! Didn't disappoint. Great people. Husband got the 12" pepperoni pizza, I got a small chicken parm sandwich, and we both took home lots of leftovers. The ambiance was very nice, food was clearly freshly made and yummy (I saw them rolling out the pizza dough!), and the bill was ridiculously low.

WELCOME to the neighborhood!

Nice folks, wish them the best. Went a couple times, will go back. Only thing is the red sauce is kinda sweet... but does anyone around here make there own sauce. Jar, Jar, Jar.

Just my dinner I ordered and picked up from Victoria's. Great Italian food, great price. The only place in Downtown (that I know of) that offers fresh pasta.

You guys need to spring for some silverware. What kind of a restaurant gives its customers plastic to eat with? Not good.

Let's take a second here to make a correction:

The OP stated that the stemware is plastic. Stemware is what you drink out of: wine glasses, cups, and so on.

This should not be confused with flatware, which is what you eat with: forks, spoons, and knives.

At Victoria's, where we ate last week, the stemware (again: wine glasses and water cups) were plastic. The flatware (forks and knives, remember?!) were metal.

Now, some of you may not be fond of any plastic on the table if you're going out to eat at a restaurant. Understood. But even a place like Presto's (which everyone--myself included--seems to love) provides plastic cups for the water. I'd still like to see actual glass for the wine glasses, even at a BYOB joint.

The food at Victoria's was very good, and the cheesecake we had for dessert was excellent. And for the price, I found it a bargain. Think of it as an upscale pizzeria and you'll be more in line to meet your expectations.

We had another enjoyable dinner here on Saturday. These guys seem to be making improvements every week. The fresh fettuccine with meatballs was very good. The desserts have been solid, too. We tried the calamari this time, too. Good sauce, good breading. Can't beat the price.

Oh, and we left a cashmere scarf there the last time we visited, and they had held onto it for us. So, add integrity to their list of attributes!

Went there recently. The service was very nice and good, though we were pretty much the only people in the room. Notwithstanding, the waitress was very nice. I got the ravioli, which were good. Hubby got the chicken francese which was fine but not spectacular. I felt like the chicken should have been pounded thinner and the sauce on top was just "eh" and there was not enough of it. The sauce didn't taste homemade and was a little bland to be honest.

We did have the cheesecake for desert and I have to say, it was the best cheesecake I have had in quite a while. Very good! I will def go back there for coffee and cheesecake!

Overall, we will go back. The prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly. They played good music and not too loud. The atmosphere of the room could use a little improving if they are trying to make it more of an upscale spot. It has the feel more of a pizzeria now. i don't think I would go here for a super special night, but its still a good option for a reasonably priced meal with friendly service.

Went this past Saturday night about 8pm.

3 other occupied tables.

Food ordered: Caesar salad, garlic bread, Chicken Piccata, Lobster Ravioli and two desserts.

All good. Not 4 star, but 4 star not expected. Just good, solid home-made food, presented as such.

Nothing fancy here: paper napkins, plastic stemware and a dining room decor right out of the Ravonite Club.

Obviously a family-run, start-up business.

They just need to work out a few details as far as ambiance and presentation. Anything else will come with experience.

Bottom-line: good food at very fair prices and very friendly service.

I wish them luck; I'll be back.

We ate in on Saturday night. There was a large party in there and the other tables were pretty full. We had the mussels appetizer. The mussels were good, but I wasn't thrilled with the red sauce. For dinner we had the baked ziti sicilian (with eggplant) (and added meatballs) and chicken francese. We were pleased with both orders. Nothing fancy, but good portions, good flavor, good service. We will be back. Desserts were good, too. Comfort food.

Funny plastic wine glasses, though. :)

We ordered a pizza last week and it was pretty sloppy and they were very skimpy with the toppings. Taste-wise, it was mediocre. The sodas were not Coke or Pepsi, but C&C. I didn't even think they made C&C cola anymore. We'll give them another shot, though.

Tried it last week and it was good with VERY GOOD prices. We had the the fried Calamari and pulled pork sandwich to go. I did try to call Saturday Night for takeout but no luck. I don't have a problem with the owners OPENLY posting specials here. It's actually kinda cool.

I was a bit concerned till I saw some regulars chime in about the place. In any case I tried some take-out tonight and it was pretty good. Tried Chicken parm with Ziti, garlic bread and mozz sticks. Everything was good except the pasta which was a little over-cooked. Owner was very nice. The decor is very sparse and the space seems big compared to the number of tables. It's gonna be hard to match Leo's in Hoboken but it is nice to finally have some Italian food in the neighborhood. Besides pizza.

I tried Victoria's on Sunday night with my girlfriend, and we were very impressed with the quality of food. It was homemade-style Italian American food, everything was very fresh. It was also beyond reasonable, price-wise.

We had the chicken parm (a little crispy, with delicious red sauce and bubbling mozzerella), baked ziti sicilian (heavy on ricotta/light on mozz), and we started with a small pizza as sort of an app. We actually loved the pizza - it tasted like homemade pizza, sort of like how my mother used to make it. In other words, this is NOT a brick oven pizza, with the super crispy crust, and therefore not the best conventional NJ/NY pizza, but it was very delicious as a starter. The red sauce was really, really delicious - with just the right amount of sweetness to it.

This is a family-run establishment. Sinatra was crooning from the speakers.

My only gripe is the decor, which as other posters mentioned, is a little sparse and a bit odd. They should get a professional who specializes in restaurant interiors to look at the space.

There was only one other table of people in there (around 8:30-9:30 on Sunday). I hope people discover it, it's definitely a tad off the beaten path (which gives it potential to be one of those diamond in the rough types of places that I love).

The positive: The owners and staff are super friendly, super nice. The pizza maker was attentive and tried to make the pizza exactly how I like it.

The potential: The space needs to be looked at by a professional and designed to be more intimate. Seems they are in between being a pizza joint and a restaurant. It's tough to decipher which direction they want to go.

The negative. Conventional pizza ovens are difficult to perfect a truly tasty pizza, brick is the way to go. Thus, the pizza was average. However, I took it to go and it took me a bit to park and get home, so it was not pipin hot, soooo I will probably just eat there next time. Still think Amelia makes the best pizza, the margherita pizza is excellent, but still not as good as Number 28, Arturo's or John's on 44. Al Santillo's Brick Oven Pizza is probably best pizza closest to Jersey City in NJ.

Had dinner there for the first time on Friday night. The food was excellent, I got the Chicken Francese over linguini and my wife got ther calamari app and eggplant parm. Big portions, BYOB and friendly service. Dinner for two $28 + tip. I agree the interior is a bit sparse but I'm sure they will get to work on that soon.

I just want to thank the people who have commented on and viewed this post. A few customers told me about this website on Tuesday.
This is our website

http://www.victoriasristorante.com/index.html

We are going to be delivering starting tomorrow, Friday the 14th. Our credit card account should also be working tomorrow.
All of our food is prepared from scratch from my mothers and grandmothers recipes so sometimes a dish may take a couple more minutes to prepare then other restaurants. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

We will be running a special Until next Thursday the 20th
1 large plain pie and an order of Buffalo wings for $10 plus tax.

Also if anyone has any feedback on the food, order time, inside the restaurant or anything I'd like to hear it.
Thanks again and I hope to see everyone soon.
