Plumbing. We had one local plumber come in, but I think our setup scared them off... Thanks!

i don't want to take this off topic, but I have to. i have been a member of Brick Haus for several years and i have been happy enough there.

BUT today there was an inconsiderate slob who was on a treadmill this morning around 10:30 AM with red workout pants on, coughing and hacking for 20 minutes (not even covering his mouth).

- If you are sick, stay home.
- at least, pick a machine that is not in the middle of others.
- Clean the machine off when you are done (whether you are sick or not),
- i know that covering your mouth isn't very effective, but at least make an attempt.

when i was leaving, i saw this nasty germ-spreader downstairs, in the free weight area.

So, whenever you get on a machine, just imagine this was the last person on there. Take care to clean it first!

Shame on you Mr. Disgusting Red Pants.

Very very good wings at Delenio's. I'd say the best we've had in a long time. Definitely nothing that good in JC. Surprising, I wouldn't think to order wings there, but I'm glad we did.

We just tried the burger at Park Tavern, on recommendations made here. It really was a darn good burger! We were pleased by the parking on the side of the building. Very friendly staff. We'll be back!

I've seen a pretty large skunk twice this week on Jersey Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets. One time was at about 5AM and the other was 9PM.

At 5AM, he was in someone's trash, and we got very close before I saw him - only a couple of feet away.

At 9AM, he was walking out of the alley, towards us (I had two dogs) and he just kept coming towards us, which was odd. I made some loud noises and he eventually turned around.

Luckily, we didn't get sprayed. keep an eye out!

It used to be open, at seemingly sporadic hours, until about a year ago. They got a new awning, it looked like they were doing a little bit of work in there (the Video Box was waning), and haven't been open since.

We got a Fischer & Paykel into our challenging entry restrictions. Our model has a bottom freezer. We have had it for about four years and haven't had any problems. It has an EZCLean surface that is awesome.

We did look at the Liebherr refrigerators, too. They were beautiful. For some reason, the dimensions didn't work for us.

We've eaten there several times. Decent food. Never a bad meal. Big, big portions. But we tend to forget about it for many months at a time. So, we go maybe once or twice a year. I agree that the interior is dated. Service has always been welcoming and friendly.

but it's been made clear to us that their big late-night clientele is the PD. So the the OP story...? Not buying it.

A couple of times, when we've put out more than usual or some bulky items, we've given them $10 each. Once we gave the driver a $20 and told him to distribute it. That probably wasn't a good idea.

I know I pay a lot in taxes, but that sure is a thankless job with crappy hours.

Paper should be separate from other recyclables, except for the exception of cartons. Milk cartons, juice boxes should mix in with the cans, bottles, plastic. I don't know why!

... Currently the Authority requires residents to recycle all mixed newspaper in addition to magazines, junk mail, office paper, telephone books, cardboard boxes, corrugated boxes and laundry detergent boxes.

Such materials must be tied or placed in recycling containers and placed curbside no earlier than 7:00 PM the night before your scheduled collection day.

Co-mingled materials which include glass bottles, aluminum cans, metal cans, milk cartons, drink boxes, water containers, food containers, household cleaner containers, laundry detergent bottles, shampoo bottles, and other related plastic containers can all be placed curbside in a recycling container no earlier than 7:00 PM the night before your scheduled collection day.

Recyclables must not be placed out for collection in plastic bags. Placing such in plastic bags seriously hinders our recycling process. Recyclables shall be placed in large plastic containers.

In my area, the post-pick-up messes are always in front of the same properties. It mostly seems to happen on the recycle days and people put out trash that is not separated properly. First comes the trash guys. If it looks like it might be recycling, they leave it. Then comes the cans/glass/plastic, last is the paper guys. If the trash is mixed, they leave it.

We try to tip the trash men when we see them, too, but it's not easy. Once I chased them down the street in the early morning.

I'm not so sure this is true. From BikeJC road rules: According to city law: Biking on sidewalks is not allowed in Jersey City. It references a municipal code, but the link is obsolete.

I really don't understand why you are disparaging posters for mentioning these incidents. I did not say I was unhappy with the race. With that many people, there are sure to be incidents.

I did witness a screaming woman who threw her bike down the sidewalk. I did witness a man fall and get hurt, bleeding. I did witness the front of the pack almost get taken out.

So, because YOU did not see the incidents, they didn't happen? "No one hurt" is not a true statement.

I was up front and I saw most of what PWENS describes. I saw the 'almost-collision'. I saw the 'crazy bitch'. I saw people almost hit those signs in Lincoln Park.

I did leave thinking that the ride had a bit of a different mood than the previous years. I didn't see strong marshal presence, when in previous years, they were sure to loudly corral people appropriately and avoid obstacles. There was one 'marshal' who was riding mid-pack with speakers blasting, swerving around.

Lighten up on PWENS; it was not a 'race' upfront. People were not trying to pass the marshals. I do think the people in front are too closely packed together, though. I think I'll move to the back next year.

One more danger in our area was a young boy who kept swerving, darting around, cutting people off. Luckily he didn't get hurt.

I love this ride. I'll keep going, but it doesn't hurt to point out areas for improvement.

Harsimus Cove only goes as far west as Coles St. On the west side of Coles to Monmouth and Brunswick is called The Village, I think.

Harsimus Cove is pretty safe, although late at night you should stay well aware of your surroundings.

Good luck to the new Key Foods.

I went in a week ago to pick up a few things, mistakenly thinking I had cash on me. They took my cc without hesitation and with a smile for about $8. I don't remember seeing a sign about policy.

I am very happy with the changes there. Every day it's getting better and better.

Atmosphere is nice. A step up from a standard pizzeria. It is BYOB, although there is a bar you can sit at that is residual from a previous incarnation of the space. There is table service. And of course, food is always better at the restaurant than delivery. They have a few tables outside, too.

The new management have brought us back and won us over.
