You would think Healy would speak out on the issue and make a statement - Suspension from cityhall and the charter school without pay for Lipski until the court hearing and then if guilty, his ass hits the streets.......its just a dream ! If anything, Healy is probably feeling extremely threatened by Lipski. He thought his status as Town Lush was safe, now he's wondering how to top Lipski!

Actually, he'd likely be more of a risk sneezing on them. Urine of a person without a urinary infection is sterile. Not that I'd like to be peed on, being crapped on continually by city hall is quite enough for me. I used to think that we weren't unique, that most small cities had complete losers running their governments. But between the antics of Healy, Flood and Lipski, it's clear we are in a class of our own.

I am sick and tired of politicians using excuses to coverup for their bad behavior:
McGreevey: "I am a gay american"! Spitzer: "I am holier than thou"...(when do the broads get here?) Edwards: "I did have a 400 dollar haircut and yeah a woman on the side after all". Healy: "I am going to get drunk and start a riot". Willie Flood: "I appointed my son as the official paper clip holder of Jersey City...how am I suppose to know there is no such position but let me be clear he did a fantastic job". Ps. This is meant to be sarcastic...some of the truth has been stretched.

Anybody remember how Lipski berated Dan Falcon for wearing that tee shirt that said,
"Get Drunk Get Naked Get Arrested Get Elected" at the Pay to Play Council vote.I think he said it was Embarrassing the city. What does he think now.

NYT - 10/26/2008
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/26/nyr ... w-jersey/26councilnj.html Councilman Puts Double-Dipping Issue Before Voters - Lipski Quote - Councilman Steve Lipski said he admired Mr. Fulop?s zeal but questioned his focus. Instead of concentrating on double-dipping, Mr. Fulop should take aim at elected officials who use their position to then obtain a lucrative government job, Mr. Lipski said. ?When he makes these proposals, it makes the rest of the council feel like we?re criminals and crooks and that we?re double-dippers,? Mr. Lipski said. ?I know a number of my colleagues work for the county or some other government agency, but I think only one or two had gotten their jobs after they were elected.? - End Quote - Tell us, do you know feel like a criminal?

my god, is this what Jersey City politics has come to?
He's a disgrace to the city. He should resign. Now, the cover-up. How can he be trusted? Surely we have more qualified candidates than this!

It's not only "morally reprehensible," it's also hygienically reprehensible. What he did was a big risk to public health.

I think it is "morally reprehensible" above all else! He has disgraced his supporters and his city -- whether this was caused by an addiction problem or a temporary moment of insanity, it doesn't matter. He still behaved in a completely disgusting and unacceptable way.

Hey. It's not my field at all, but doesn't this sound like indecent exposure?
And considering that the club is all-age, isn't that maybe indecent exposure in front of a minor, and maybe a sex crime? Sounds like if someone wanted to take this seriously Lipsky could be out of the charter school job.

So I see the news whole report on the local CBS news in the middle of the day today, really just a repeat of what is already reported in the Jersey Journal, and Mr. Lipski has indicated he will not resign his city council position because the act was not "morally reprehensible" but said nothing about his position at Create Charter High School. Has their Board of Trustees held any kind of meeting about this? anyone know?
Furthermore, I hope Mr. Lipski gets sued by the people who got pissed on. What kind of monetary damages they can claim, I don't know but at least it will require Mr. Lipski to go down to DC again to deal with that, further wasting his time. I hope he is taught a lesson.

He's telling the truth.
He did spill his drink on the crowd. It had been filtered through his kidneys first, that's all. So... this concertgoer gets urinated on, goes to the police to file charges, then returns to catch the end of the show? What about a shower and a change of clothes there, pal? Jeez. Talk about dedication, eh? What are the odds the guys urine soaked clothes actually get washed before wearing them again? Not much, I'd say. Maybe that's good. The prosecutors might need those clothes for evidence, a-la Clinton/Monica. Maybe best to just put them in a bag with all his other urine soaked clothing. Hey... it coulda been worce for us JCers. At least Lipski didn't drop a deuce off the balcony.

Lipski was 'grinning and urinating,' says alleged victim
by Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal
Monday November 10, 2008, 8:56 PM
One of the victims who Jersey City Councilman Steve Lipski allegedly urinated on last Friday night at a Washington D.C. nightclub said last night he initially thought someone had spilled beer down his leg.
But when he looked up to the balcony at Nightclub 9:30, where a Grateful Dead tribute band was performing, Joe, a 22-year-old University of Utah student -- who only wanted to be identified by his first name -- said he saw Lipski "grinning and urinating."
"He (Lipski) kind of had this grin on his face, and you could see his manhood in his hand," Joe said, who estimates 30 people on the dance floor were within range of a "long arc and stream of urine coming out into the crowd."
As the smell of urine hung in the air, a couple of people "ran off screaming" when they realized what was happening, Joe said.
The display went on for a "solid minute," Joe said.
When bouncers finally stepped in, Lipski looked like a "deer caught in the headlights" and appeared "solemn" and "confused," Joe said.
Lipski, who has refused to discuss details of what happened, was charged with simple assault. According to a police report, Joe and another concertgoer -- a 22-year-old female -- filed complaints against Lipski.
Joe, who has an internship in D.C., said after he gave his statement to police, he returned to the concert.
"It was annoying as hell, for sure, and quite disgusting," Joe said about the incident. "I have been to hundreds of concerts and I have never seen anything like that before."

Well it doesn't look like anything has been done over at Create Charter High School, where Mr. Lipski continues to preside. Does anyone have any inside information on this?

I think this was a great move for a New Jersey Politician. Become a household name, run for governor and then if the state is sinking further into a ditch, pull a McGreevy. "As some of you know, 7 years ago I urniated on a crowd of people. I have a golden shower problem, and therefore am resigning as your governor."

It's all about litigation for these pricks. When the proceedings start to get this guy booted he'll cry "pre-existing condition". If one of the soaked patrons or the club sues him he'll cry "pre-existing condition". It's all about him protecting his own ass and his job. A 44 year old man behaving like an eighteen year old frat-boy. What a douche.

Is Lipski an adult or a teenager experimenting with alcohol ?
I think the alcoholic story is crap and I have money on it that he has drank on numerous occasions in the past couple of years.

That all may be true, but he should have thought about that before he decided to drink in public. Furthermore, as an elected official he has a higher standard to live up to and maybe should have considered never drinking in the first place. I do enjoy the occasional glass of wine or beer but the fact is I often go weeks, sometimes months without any alcohol and if a doctor told me I could not drink for the rest of my life, I would do just fine.

He admitted he was an alcoholic and if he had treated his problem earlier he wouldn't be in this mess. If you know you got a problem you should solve it before it becomes worse, but since he didn't he now has to pay for it. Imagine if you got peed on and the guy who did it said oh sorry alcohol made me do it, would you let it go?
