DONT DO IT.

1) They have their own group of inspectors - which is a major pain.

2) Getting rid of them in nigh impossible. Even if they are caught violating the lease and dealing drugs - the judge will be lenient or even issue a 6 month hardship stay.

3) You need a tenant who has something to lose. You can't sue someone who owns nothing. As such, letting them into your home is a liability. You have no recourse.

Finally - If you have one on your property already - get the hallways wired with security cams to stop them from "falling down the stairs".

Anyone who lived downtown in the early 90's will remember what a ghost town it was.

At the end of his term, downtown was a profit center - and every mayor since has been riding on Schundlers coat tails.

I guess some people (like BM) are happier with a town that looks like Beirut. But I thought Schundler was a pretty good mayor, and his participation would have made a nice departure from the typical JC lefties and self interest types.

Ha! He's on Perezhilton.com too!

Hey, at least he's not getting into fights with cops or getting photographed naked on his stoop.

Maybe this just pre-empts this intention to run for Mayor?

Correct. Most of Obama's donations were under $200. (credit card software was modified to remove the identity of the donor) Many donations came from overseas and are under investigation..

http://www.fec.gov/DisclosureSearch/mapApp.do?cand_id=P80003338

All this after agreeing with McCain to not accept public campaign contributions - he's basically cheated a hell of a lot to get that 6% winning margin.

You wanted to put a person who didn't know that Africa was a continent not a country a heartbeat away from the presidency! What the heck is wrong with you? She would have done horrors to our economy and with McCain who has had problems with cancer a few years ago it would have not been long before she took over! Your probably just like Joe the welfare feeding plumber another Republican hypocrite, and with a mind like that there's no way your making over $250,000 and you'll probably ARE going to benefit from Obama's tax cut for the middle class.

Don't believe the media bias on Palin. The idea that she doesn't know that Africa is a continent is the kind of crap that keeps SNL / John Stewart / Bill Maher in business. It's from an anonymous source - which means it's bullshit.

Electoral college aside, 46.2% of this country voted for McCain. And the key is the youth vote. America doesn't let citizens drink until they are 21, and yet you allow them to elect a unqualified socialist to president at 18. Something is very wrong.

Judging someone's income on a blog gives me a good handle on the kind of class of person that you are.

McCain had it in the bag with a 10 point lead until Sept 14th, when the banks collapsed. (Thanks again Dubbya!) Jesus Christ couldn't have won this one.

Moving forward, several of my friends in finance believe the economy would have bounced back much faster with McCain.

This is going to be a long cold winter.

The Dems love employees and they hate employers. Company taxes and capital gains taxes will increase. Obama will basically tax inspiration...

It's probably going to end up like Sweden. 60% income tax that is distributed by a big government. Everyone might as well be living in a pod.

Still, at least you can travel to France and not get verbally abused!

McCain is 50% / 50% in PA

Except in Urban areas (like Philly) where he's getting beat 2 to 1

That's why the Black Panthers are out there.

But being financially in the hole doesn't mean that you have to concede to a "big democratic government".

Clinton initiated cheap mortgages to the piss-poor, under pressure from minority, community activists (like Obama) and was responsible for de-regulation. The policy claimed that "red lining" people who couldn't afford a house was racist. Subsiquently, it was miss managed by Bush for 8 years.

It's no reason to hold McCain responsible for the financial crisis. A tight republican government has always been more cost effective than a spend thrift democratic one.

Obamas plans to redistribute wealth have got nothing to do with paying off our debt. It's about sticking it to the man. Promises of free universal health care, education, hand outs....these are outright lies under present circumstances.

Obama Bin Lying..just like he lied about accepting public campaign contributions. Now he's dropping millions on 30 minute ads - what a douchebag.

Yes, I missed you too - you freakin' wack jobs.

Al Qaeda are crapping themselves that McCain might get in.

It's a bluff. They want the weaker candidate at the helm so they can move back into the occupied areas.

It's very different than Castro, the leader of a communist country backing Obama. That's a legitimate endorsement.

Not a Christo-Fascist - whatever that is? She used to be pentecostal and for the last 7 years in Assembly of God. Unlike Wright's church (they are the ones that don't shit on the American flag)

Rape kits...I didn't know that - It doesn't sound very Christan...how much are they?

Not obstructing justice - actually using Alaskan law to defend herself! Subpoenas wouldn't be issued if she wasn't up for the VP slot. Just another lefty smear campaign.

Wrights "justifiable rage"...justifiable???The Rev. Wright stands for every reason why a white person SHOULD NOT vote for Obama. No one should be associated with such a racist - and it's not justifiable by any means. I judge a person by the company that they keep. Obama and his racist toilet mouthed friends: Jackson, Farrakhan, Wright and Sharpton can take a hike.

Barack Obama Under Fire for Ignoring Advice on How to Beat John McCain

Barack Obama and his senior advisers are under fire for ignoring the advice of Democratic senators and governors who are concerned that they do not know how to beat John McCain.

The Sunday Telegraph
13 Sep 2008

A senior Democratic strategist, who has played a prominent role in two presidential campaigns, told The Sunday Telegraph: "These guys are on the verge of blowing the greatest gimme in the history of American politics. They're the most arrogant bunch Ive ever seen. They won't accept that they are losing and they won't listen."

After leading throughout the year, Mr Obama now trails Mr McCain by two to three points in national polls.

Over the last couple of weeks, Obama's speeches have been off and he's hesitating and gaffing. He didn't mean to drop the sexist, lipstick gaffe but you can tell - Palin is REALLY in his noodle.

Palin is like Teflon. The more they attack her, the more sympathy she gets. She's way more interesting and news worthy. Equally as eloquent as Obama and easy on the eye. It's amazing how the maverick has pulled this iron lady out of left field. (That's the way he rolls - not a great man of words, but a man of action)

Undecided voters are thinking, "Well, If Palin's not very good...as the liberal media says.....why are they continually attacking her....and aren't they supposed to be going after McCain?"

Barack's trying to play chess without a queen. His failure to hire Clinton will go down as the biggest political f*ckup in history.

I've met a few people who are disenfranchised by Obama dumping Hillary. Furthermore, I still don't understand why he picked Biden.

Biden's nickname in Washington is "Gaff-o-matic". If he's not reading it off a cue card, he will ALWAYS put his foot in his mouth.

On Wednesday he was saying that Obama should have picked Hillary. Duh!

On Thursday, Biden promised that his praise of Barack Obama would be the only political speech of the day. ?I promise you, my word as a Biden. If Barack grew up in our neighborhood like he did in Kansas being raised by his grandparents, if he grew up here being raised by his grandparents, he?d have been our friend. He?d cover your back,? Biden said. Obama was actually raised in Hawaii, but his mother was born in Kansas.

He's a dinosaur of the Nixon era.

Well that's what a lot of people are speculating. Although Obama would lose face massively.

It's also doubtful that Clinton would accept the substitution, since she wasn't even vetted for the job. It's kind of insulting.

Bidens disclosure plus the discovery of N Korean nuke sites should lead to an interesting debate tonight.

Based upon the documentary, his sole practical experience is asbestos abatement in an urban project.

Talk is cheap. He can talk about a lot of things. I think he gets paid by the word.

He also voted present on 129 bills without offering an opinion. Will he be so non commital when Putin is rolling his tanks onto US soil? When there is a conflict - Obama is going to be like Neville Chamberlain in black face.

We were all better off 8 years ago. The Internet was still "the new thing" The bottom had yet to fall out of the dot com market. Bush ran a smear campaign against McCain, took the republican nomination. (Those two REALLY hate each other!)

But that's history....I saw the CNN documentary about Obama (on Sunday night) and it scared the cr@p out of me.

The guy IS REALLY a community organizer - I mean REALLY! Beyond that - he knows nothing! He had one big break - a keynote speech, which he aced. Thats it!

But the scary thing is that his priorities to date are concerned solely with the black community. That's where his passion is. And it's glaringly obvious that he doesn't give a toss about anyone else.

I was coming home in the early hours last week and saw 8 of them standing in a ring on the corner of Montgomery and Varick.

Looked like they were participating in some kind of ritual. It made me do a double take.

I read here that the strip of Montgomery from Jersey Ave back to the turnpike is the "New Houses" gang:

$2K sounds about right. He orders materials from Dykes just outside Hoboken and good molding is pretty expensive stuff.

Platinum quote work by the foot on their website and are very fair - but I know for a fact that they are booked until 2009 at the moment. (I've started to use other carpenters.)

You can buy a Craftsman mitre saw from Sears, some screws and do it yourself in a weekend. Simple 45 degree cuts. If you're looking for ceiling to wall molding work - it doesn't get much easier.

I'm not surprised by this press report from the UK. In one decade, Tony Blair and his bolshevik Labor Party turned England into a socialist cesspool - thats why I'm here.

You can look forward to the same thing here when you elect Obama. Socialist democracies suck. The majority is forced to assimilate to the minority. Robin hood politics - giving to the poor whether they deserve it or not.

Here is another piece of bollocks from England. Muslim men can speed if they have to service 2 wives in different locations. Enjoy:
