United Technologies (Carrier's owner) just played Trump and Pence
AAahahahahahahahahaha In exchange for allowing United Technologies to continue to offshore more than 1,000 jobs, Trump will reportedly give the company tax and regulatory favors that the corporation has sought. Just a short few months ago, Trump was pledging to force United Technologies to ?pay a damn tax.? He was insisting on very steep tariffs for companies like Carrier that left the United States and wanted to sell their foreign-made products back in the United States. Instead of a damn tax, the company will be rewarded with a damn tax cut. Wow! How?s that for standing up to corporate greed? How?s that for punishing corporations that shut down in the United States and move abroad? In essence, United Technologies took Trump hostage and won. And that should send a shock wave of fear through all workers across the country. https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteve ... p/?utm_term=.50f02d546f97

What did Trump say about "never let the enemy know what you are doing!" Guess what? He showed corporate America exactly how to manipulate and defeat him. Threaten to move jobs out of Murica and get a SWEEEEEET tax deal from Donald "I didn't think of that" Trump. Also, you can still move some jobs, which Carrier is doing, and then f**k everybody over in 2018. That's YOUR boy.

Nice try but Jill Stein raised the money for the re-count and Clinton's people already said they don't see the point but will observe anyway. Voter Fraud is the bogeyman of the right wing. Even dopey Trump is still whining about it.

I was just trying to do my best Howard Dean impression because I (like many other Americans) are relieved Hillary is not president. The democrats socialists etc. have their panties in a bunch and the media onslaught is unhinged. I would not hesitate to say that obsessive compulsion about Trump has some suicidal. I figure we are doing a public service... trying to keep the hysterical leftists grounded by making them aware that there are opinions and ideas besides what you recite from The Slate, Huffpo, The Daily Beast and The Kos. Re-electing Pelosi continues the death spiral of the democrat party. When you have Rosie O'd making public comments about the health of Trump's 10 year old son .... that is just plain nuts. Quote:

I find it hilarious that your continued immature temper tantrum over the election results has manifested itself into perhaps the least convincing expressions of giddiness I've ever seen.

Yesssss - when you try to selectively bully a company to get credit for propaganda purposes instead of enacting policy that will benefit everyone.
This is what Putin does in Russia. It works, but it's crony capitalism under a dictatorship. this is where we are headed. But, let's drink to that! Hahahahahaha Quote:

Oh do you mean like the government creating phony "the green industry" and giving out federal loans to these companies that happened to be owned by big Obama donors.
Then they declare bankruptcy with big golden parachutes or sell their solar panel manufacturing jobs to China while taking interest free US taxpayer money? Oh look... the Chinese manipulating another market... the exact issue ignored by democrats, one that President Trump will fix! http://fortune.com/2016/09/14/china-solar-panel-production/ AAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAAH Quote:

"Crony Capitalism" says an expert with the AEI, a conservative think tank
Claude Barfield, an expert on international trade at the American Enterprise Institute, said brokering aid packages with individual companies is far from a conservative approach. ?For market-based economists or analysts, this is really a version of crony capitalism, and it?s the kind of thing you really don?t want to get into or have government get into,? Barfield said. ?This gets back to who ? actually has the ear of the government. So you get the situation where decisions are not made in terms of their economic sense, but in terms of gaming the political system.? http://www.politico.com/story/2016/11 ... al-contracts-trump-232021 Ahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I get so tired of listening to the left cry about the wars for oil! Does the US control the oil output in any middle eastern country? Where is the $1 a gallon gas? Where are the record profits for oil companies in the last few yrs? Just today I saw OPEC agree to cut supply so I suppose oil stocks might move slightly. If the US had gone in and taken control of foreign oil then this lefty mantra would have a point.

America first - what a crock of siht! We have been in wars for oil in the past 20 years - Manufacturing in the US was shifted to Asia because of corporation greed at the cost of blue collar labor with legislation allowing that to happen because it was seen as a way to reduce consumer goods cost - where do you think all the CHEAP crap from walmart - staples - home depo comes from? Do you think the average joe will work for wages the Chinese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Mexican are prepared to work for ....We have been putting America first ever since we understood how to make money from wars and manufacturing .... Note the 2 largest employers are the MIlitary and Walmart. Trump sure did put America first, that's why he has had foreign wives! Just for the record, both parties had 2 of the worst individuals in history, to have represented them.

All you crying Liberal Scum Bags, your salty tears are the sweetest tasting victory that I am so happy to drink. Its about time we have someone who is going to put American's first. Every time I read your pathetic posts I sit back and think how great it is to be filling the Supreme Court. We are not stopping, this is just the beginning and I look forward to ruining the rest of the days for you while we have a leader that is going to put Americans first. Enough of the sanctuary cities, enough of free hand outs, enough of open boarders, enough of jobs leaving this country.

Funny that you say this, when even "progressives" websites such as the one run by Glenn Greenwald disagree with you. The evidence is damning: Trump's Showdown With Manufacturer Exposes Obama's Weakness on Outsourcing The most Obama has said about Carrier, at a June town hall in Indiana, is that some jobs ?are just not going to come back.? He cited automation in manufacturing, enabling many fewer workers to staff a production line than in previous decades, though that?s a separate issue from Carrier?s outsourcing. Later in the discussion, Obama challenged Trump?s promises to keep Carrier?s plant open. ?He?s going to bring these jobs back. Well, how are you exactly going to do that, what are you going to do? There?s no answer to it.? In fact, every tool Trump could possibly use to persuade Carrier to keep operations in Indiana has been available to Obama since the day of the company?s announcement. He has just chosen not to use them. https://theintercept.com/2016/11/29/tr ... -weakness-on-outsourcing/

It's all speculation on what TRUMP will or will not do ... The douche ain't in office yet, so hold off on what he might do. I'm looking forward to all the focus being placed on every aspect of his life, both past and present, when he piss's off more people.
I'm hoping that every ideal and outlandish viewpoint on women, business, immigration and his personal sociopathic views on all topics he has commented on, are realised - The US needs a reality check on how it's ended in the gutter of global social behavior. PS. My application to work in Australia is being processed and awaiting an interview - looking forward to the adventure.

Saving 1,000 jobs is great, but it is a PR stunt more than anything. Carrier is still laying off a substantial number of employees in Indiana, and state tax incentives (care of Gov Pence) had to be offered to keep just some of the jobs in the US. I don't think Trump traveling the country and offering tax breaks to every company that wants to offshore is a sustainable plan.
I am glad that Trump/Pence managed to save a few jobs, but to act like previous presidents or the current president haven't protected American jobs is simply ridiculous. I'll just leave these links here as examples of what can happen when the government successfully intervenes to prop up and save an industry. Note that the job gains are in the 100s of thousands. http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES3133600101?data_tool=XGtable http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES4244100001?data_tool=XGtable

Hardly. While it is true that Trump may save a few people their jobs, I sincerely doubt that he is going to bring back anywhere close to the amount of jobs people think he is going to. This is what I don't understand. Trump wants to make America great again, but it was already pretty great, and who is he making it great for? Certainly not anyone that disagrees with his platform.

Wait, so you've admitted your first article (which claimed Trump wasn't bringing any manufacturing jobs back) was full of lies? Now you are conceding that he is indeed bringing those jobs back, but you don't like it because it's taking jobs away from foreigners. Too bad. You can try to spin it as "thinking about how my actions might impact someone else," but this is pure nonsense coming from a position of privilege. Trump is finally putting Americans first and it's long overdue.

I know right! Thinking about how my actions might impact someone else is such a terrible thing to do. I'm sure glad our entire planet isn't interconnected, and we may have to depend on someone else in the future...oh, wait. To suggest that former Presidents, Republican or Democrat, did not care about our country shows just how delusional the thinking in this country has become.

Trump's plan, which he is executing, is to use America's vast bargaining power to benefit Americans. Not illegals and not foreigners. You quote the following like it's a bad thing: "But the problem is that this will have adverse effects on Korea?s efforts to create decent, high-paying jobs at home." This is a great thing. Finally, an American president who actually cares about his own country! I know that's a very difficult concept for you "progressives" to understand, but the American people understand it quite well.

What examples? The article just says that Hyundai and others have already moved manufacturing to the US (years before Trump being elected), and then quotes some European guy saying "yeah Koreans will move more manufacturing over because of Trump." This "article" has less substance than my urine and is proof of nothing.

I guess I can see how it's related. It's been rumored that Carrier faced loosing their much more profitable defense contracts if they did not bend to Fuhrer Trumps will. Hell, even Bernie was getting in on the action. I guess companies will do a lot to keep their ability to sell products to the USA. From your article" "Automakers and other exporters here will shift their production to the United States, following Donald Trump?s win in the U.S. election, according to the head of the European business community here on Thursday. Jean-Christophe Darbes, chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) said it will become more difficult for Korean companies to ship their products to the world?s largest economy as President-elect Trump has vowed to prop up trade barriers against foreign products in a bid to revitalize U.S. manufacturing. ?Korea?s exports to the United States will likely decline as Trump, who has vowed to introduce protectionist measures, becomes the 45th U.S. president,? Darbes said. ?Given that businesses react quickly to changes in the market, more Korean companies will set up plants in the United States to continue to do business there. But the problem is that this will have adverse effects on Korea?s efforts to create decent, high-paying jobs at home.? So his plan is to threaten other countries till they do what he wants, and if they don't he'll start a trade war with the rest of the globe? You must think having an isolationist stance with the rest of the planet is a good thing. Meanwhile your golden boy, who railed against Goldman Sachs and anyone who had anything to do with them, is busy stacking his cabinet with former GS employees and lobbyists. I guess it give me some hope for the future that majority of what Trump said on the campaign trail was BS, and was just said to make people like yourself vote for him. IBT Article

Mitt Romney as Secretary of State - this would be an excellent choice!

Meanwhile, your article has been debunked because other countries have said that they will be moving their manufacturing to the U.S. due to Trump, creating many new American jobs. Look at these examples from Korea. http://m.koreatimes.co.kr/phone/news/view.jsp?req_newsidx=217941

And people with common sense have no problem with those parts of the ACA... They have not even enacted the entire law because it would destroy the economy. The democrats passed the bill and then Obama cherry picked the parts he liked and then illegally used executive order to delay implementation of the other 90%.
It was the lying (you can keep your doctor/premiums and costs will come down) and when people learned the truth opening their premiums, that destroyed all chances that the law would succeed. It was the mandatory demand that everyone buy insurance to keep the democrat Ponzi scheme floating. It was the sweetheart deal for the taxpayers to underwrite losses to the insurance companies, which is why all the exchanges are crashing all over the country. Other than that kind of stuff.... yes it was landmark stuff to be proud of... AAHHHHHAAAAAAAAHAAHH! Quote:
