Thanks for sharing. It's been interesting to hear why so many people felt they needed to be secretive about voting for Trump and why the polls weren't representative of reality and this silent group. PBS Newshour had some great segments tonight from diverse voters for both candidates and from high schoolers. Mark Sheilds, Democrat, and David Brooks, Republican, reflected on the results and they both agreed that the worst thing anyone can do is assume that the extreme versions of either side represent the majority, because they don't.

I thought this quote was interesting and believe this is the crux of what anti-Trump people are grappling with, including myself:
"The press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally." https://www.google.com/amp/www.theatla ... cle/501335/?client=safari Many people are fearful (of being deported, families splitting up, losing healthcare) because they take his language and campaign promises literally. Then, because of the shock of his win, everyone had to quickly take him seriously. I think these feelings may temper as everyone begins to see that the "showman" Trump will be more even-keeled as he approaches the office (i.e., not completely repealing Obamacare).

That's a good one! How can liberals learn from Brexit when they know everything already? As far a 2018? The only thing reason the house was in play is because more Republican seats were up for election. Next time it will be more Democrat seats with a chance for the repubs to add. This is going to take a while for the libs but they made their own bed.

Whoa whoa whoa. This is not even analogous. Refusing to serve a group of people because of their sexual orientation is not at all the same thing as choosing not to patronize a business because you disagree with their owner's support of a presidential candidate. Yuengling is not guaranteed purchasers by the Constitution the same way you aren't required to go have a beer at Pint if you disagree with this decision.

Even if every gay bar in the US boycotts Yuengling-Dick Yuengling is worth close to 2 billion dollars. He'll live with it I'd say. The Grubhub guy might feel a boycott a little more, even after he already walked back his email. Oopsie!

Interesting... not only is The Pint not buying Yuengling Products, they are cancelling their Peerless distribution account and will boycott the distributor until they stop selling all Yuengling products to their other customers. If the Pint is boycotting Yuengling, why would they expect their customers to buy and drink the The Pint's remaining inventory??? Liberal thinking amazes me sometimes,
