I love DTJC as it is where I live. However, i'd like to see the study methodology, parameters and data. It is hard to believe that a small gritty city like JC can beat out other nice urban US cities.

What a bunch of Debbie-Downers!
When you see an article like this, you know it is referring to Downtown JC, not all of JC, and DTJC is very liveable - on par with many neighborhoods in Manhattan and the more established, prime areas of Brooklyn. Given so many people on this forum are downtowners I'm surprised at the negative reaction - if I lived downtown, I would be thrilled. I'm surprised that the relative inaccessibility, crime, grime, and paucity of amenities of the rest of JC didn't bring the overall average down - that must say something about the strength of downtown!

Guess "livable" correlates highly to cost of living. Most of those are the most expensive places to live in the country.
