That's Boston Chicken and the one in Hoboken sadly closed long ago.

JC could use one and it would rock.

Odd that you take this moment to express that feeling, when there are several very negative comments against Chik Fil A, condemning both it and the "people in that economic bracket" that ostensibly eat there, right in this very thread.

Come on, just admit it. Your fifis were hurt and this is your way of lashing out.

You're giving yourself too much credit for having that sort of potential, and while you may not publicly express much in the way of empathy, that doesn't mean you don't wear your own hurt feelings on your sleeve.

I know I'm not giving myself too much credit based on your unsolicited petty remark in a completely unrelated topic. Clearly I struck a nerve.

Kind of an off-topic, petty remark, but I'll indulge you.

You mean the guy who I acknowledged was a great chef but very poor business owner? I gave my opinion that he's a far better chef than business owner and should stick to what he's good at. Sorry if that hurt your feelings.

And funny you mention it, because the Chik Fil A family is like the opposite of him. They know how to put out high quality (fast) food, at a reasonable price point. And when they make mistakes, they learn from them. They don't blame others. So maybe you can suggest that "the most creative chef in Jersey City" take lessons from people who actually know how to run a business.

Oh yeah, and the phrase only works when the object of hate is extremely successful.

I couldn't say, but White Trash Fast Food is the name of a restaurant in Berlin. Apparently they know something we don't.

Good times, but possibly the worst service ever.

What exactly is white trash food? Is it white trash because its from the South? Or because its chicken and biscuits?

This does nothing to change the fact that it is scientifically proven that unhealthy diets lead to shorter life spans on average. You can also point to plenty of people who drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes until the day they died, but it doesn't change the evidence that putting garbage into the human body damages the body and can lead to disease/obesity/death.

Laughing at someone calling Chick Fil A unhealthy makes you sound foolish and uninformed. The Chick Fil A founder living a long life doesn't discount the fact that plenty of people who regularly consumed deep fried fast food died from heart disease, diabetes, and various other ailments brought on by that kind of diet. I'd bet there are a lot more of those people than the kind whose genetics overcame their poor habits.

Exactly. I probably have Chick Fil A once or twice per year, but it is decent enough for what it is. And, as you point out, their Spicy Chicken Sandwich is delicious. As JCMan8 put it, haters gonna hate.

People in NYC and all around the region LOVE to look down on fast food and chains, but look around and we are surrounded by them. No one is saying we should survive on fast food, but as an occasional treat or indulgence it is totally fine.

Our lifespan is largely based on genetics. That doesn't mean we cannot harm our lifespan by smoking and other practices. Last month the Jersey Journal ran an article about a black woman who is over 100 years old. She still eats 4 slices of bacon every day plus eggs. She comes from a great genetic pool.

Just to confuse the topic even more, there are some clear examples of local Chick-fil-A franchises investing against their CEO's personal beliefs:

http://www.wnd.com/2015/10/chick-fil- ... gbt-themed-film-festival/

We all vote with our dollars, but keep in mind that virtually every large company is bound to morally outrage someone, somewhere, on a daily basis. Do you boycott every gas station? Every type of sugar drink company?

If you're really committed to LGBT rights, I believe a successful campaign to get this franchise owner to follow the example of his / her colleagues in California, Iowa and Tennessee and pitch into a progressive cause locally would be the ultimate coup.

Also their sandwiches are so damn good.

EDIT: my crummy grammar

This is a big win for Jersey City. Chik fil A is very high quality for its niche.

They know what they are supposed to do and they execute beautifully. Very happy to have them here, finally.

as for "who eats at the mall" I work near the mall and occasionally will go in for something to eat. Most times I will walk around, do a lap, and realize that I really don't want to eat any of the garbage that's there. The only stuff worth eating is the Indian place and Crisp (which is insanely expensive so I don't usually eat it anyway). The teriyaki sugar chicken places are alright occasionally too but it's the same old crap. Johnny Rockets if I ever feel like stuffing my face with a burger, fries, and shake.

The places outside the mall area aren't much better. Cosi, a crappy pizza place, another crappy pizza place, the lunch buffet at Morton Williams. That neighborhood is awful for food choices.

So I'm glad to see Two Boots and Chik Fil A opening because it means a step up in quality.
