when I saw this JJ headline "Fulop outlines 'key points' for U.S.-Iran nuclear deal" by Terrence T. McDonald, I burst out laughing which does not happen often.
Like below, anyone who has put a lot of time, effort and work into trying to either fix something here or move our city forward has to be disappointed (and frustrated.) So what comes next? and the barely transparent trolls still try to spin the story away. Quote:

It's actually because China protects North Korea because China does not want a US presence right on their border, but go ahead and conjure up Israel based conspiracy theories all you want.

He has ambitions - standing up for Israel is standard fare. Which part of politics do you not understand? Just like another poster stated : why can North Korea do all this shit and not get bombed, but we are fixated on Iran?
because the DPRK does not threaten Israel. Makes sense? Quote:

"We know that the world may and can be a dangerous place and while we labor for justice in the world, we will also need to be mindful as we need to exercise wisdom in the maintenance of America's interests and Israel's freedom because in many ways they are intertwined,"
Seriously, I believe the average joe citizen doesn't give a hoot about Israel ... they need to focus on their issues and we on ours. Why should the U.S suffer any loss of life via our military or increase our spending if Israel fcuks up ... which they have on many occasions .... Are we going to exercise wisdom (which really is a meaningless statement / term) if Egypt's freedom is threatened? Sometimes Fulop makes no sense to me and raises questions on what's more important - One's country or religion!

Not bitter, Tern. Very disappointed. Saw up close how the sausage was made and am now happily vegetarian. All the bullshit that he called out Healy, "the machine", local hacks, etc. he does himself in spades. Throw in on top of that beginning the governor chase before being sworn in and it's a sordid tale. Very disappointing.

You're a bitter man T-Bird, what exactly happened to ostracize you from the man you once adored?

Fulop has no clue any more what his place is. Does anyone care what the mayor of Jersey City thinks about the Middle East? Anyone?
Steve - leave the heavy international diplomacy to the big boys. Run your triathlons and be the mayor. Pave the damn streets and re-engage in the local schools. Do the job you are being paid to do and not the next three you aspire to.

Key points would have been to bomb the living shit out of Iran and their 'program'.
N.Korea has nukes and we don't do shit to them either.

Fulop outlines 'key points' for U.S.-Iran nuclear dealBy Mayor Steve Fulop, speaking at the retirement service of his childhood rabbi tonight, offered "five key points" he says are essential to any deal to block Iran's access to nuclear weaponry. The remarks, obtained in advance by The Jersey Journal, mark the first time Fulop, a Democrat who is eyeing a run for governor in 2017, has ventured into the foreign policy arena. They come as the U.S. approaches a June 30 deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran, one of President Obama's second-term policy priorities. "We know that the world may and can be a dangerous place and while we labor for justice in the world, we will also need to be mindful as we need to exercise wisdom in the maintenance of America's interests and Israel's freedom because in many ways they are intertwined," Fulop said tonight at Congregation Neve Shalom in Metuchen, according to his prepared remarks. Obama's proposed deal with Iran, the broad outline of which was released in April, would reduce Iran's operating centrifuges and its stockpile of partially enriched uranium, impose new monitoring of the country's nuclear program and, eventually, end the severe economic sanctions against Iran.
