So Cuomo is willing to ban fracking, and piss off a huge oil and gas lobby but can't find the courage to take on the PA. Not a good sign...

I can't believe Cuomo convinced Christie to co-veto this. Damn Democrat!

And before one of my followers posts 'Benghazi!' let me say that any conversation about a Clinton/Christie race that mentions Bridgegate has to accept that Benghazi will be part of the conversation. :)

Of course, you need to take into account that Clinton has enjoyed the blue wall of silence over the scandals she's been a part of. With the Senate and House now back to the Republicans we'll have some light shed on her time at State.

Isn't it curious we haven't been given a timeline of where Clinton was and who she spoke to during the attack under her watch?

If she'd received 10% of the scrutiny where 4 American's died under her watch that Christie has for the traffic jam the poll numbers would not be what they are, would they?

Give me Clinton if Christie was the other choice.

The Christie haters are very vocal.

The fake 'traffic jam' scandal has disappeared.

Fact is, he led Republican's to many statehouse victories across the US in the mid-terms.

Despite an obstructionist Legislature (yes, just like the left like to complain about the Republicans) he's gotten plenty done.

And his appeal will be that he's a moderate, as shown by his ability to accomplish things in a bi-partisan manner.

I'll be disappointed if Cuomo and he don't sign the Port Authority reform bills passed in both Legislatures. Cuomo, I think, has to sign it sooner so that'll give him cover if Cuomo refuses. That should be interesting to follow.

And take any piece on Christie in the NYT or the SL with a grain of salt, both overall want to derail his candidacy. Certainly the same people who would complain about Christie spending time out of state while in his second term had no issue with a one term Senator from Illinois doing exactly the same thing . . .

Polls taken over the last three months reveal a list of home-state complaints: Mr. Christie?s favorability is at its lowest point, with more voters disapproving than approving of his job performance. New Jersey residents think he is making decisions with an eye on his national standing rather than on what is good for their state. They do not think he should run for president ? they are, as the slogan goes, ready for Hillary ? but most expect he will, and want him to resign if he does. Political talk in New Jersey centers less on Mr. Christie running for president and more on which one of three Democrats quietly seeking to succeed him will win ? even though that election is three years away.

Yep. "Blue" model.

By the way, if people want NJ to be on the first, second, third place in that list, they need to vote similar to how people vote in North Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. And so on.

Really?? Do you truly believe North Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska are good places to live and work?

What kind of question is that? Who do you think I am? Do you think that I'm some privileged white liberal ahole who would look down on bluecollar workers in rural areas?

Have you checked for how long those states have been run by Republicans?

Anyways, I didn't think for a second that anyone here is going to actually follow my advice. Apparently you believe that you can get different outcome by trying same policies as before.

Christie is not the problem. Most of the problems stem from unsustainable pension promises and salaries for the public sector. We also have a huge corruption problem at the local level too, and they aren't too many Republicans around here so there is only one party to blame. Too bad people in this nation think that their political parties are like sports teams in which they have to support everything the party does to win. If you think voting Republican is gonna alleviate the problem you're sadly mistaken. Republicans around the nation are the biggest dependents of government money. Most red states depend heavily on defense spending, and defense spending is littered with corruption. I am for defending the nation as I once wore the uniform, but I'm not doing for robbing the nation blind like many republicans have done by letting corporations charge taxpayers ten times what something is worth like they do now.

The state rating went down after not paying into the pension in 2011. Christie was first applauded by the bond agencies for coming up with this fix, then the same agencies dropped the state ratings for not following through. In fairness, this game started with Christine Todd Whitman who wanted to give a tax cut by not paying into the system.

Of course, Christie made a deal with the unions to contribute more to the pension system, they did. Then he took their money to put in the budget and not fund the pension system. The state credit rating dropped after that.

The rankings were compiled in three major categories: financial position, economic outcomes, and social outcomes.
