I am looking for a place to do a birthday party for about 350-400 ppl on march 23rd 2013 flexible to up to two weeks after or one week before.

Place can be just an open shell were I can bring my own food and liquor, a place were I can bring my own liquor, or full service dependent on pricing.

Looking for a great place for the best price.

Parlay is huge, I would try JC Arts School. I think they have a smaller space along 3rd street. http://www.jcartschool.com/about/about.html

Looking for a nontraditional event space in the downtown neighborhood. Think raw warehouse/loft space to hold about 125 people. Space only is needed, not looking for a typical reception space at a hotel/restaurant.

Parlay Studios is already on the list.

Try Harborside.....link below. Nice place, but it will be expensive and I don't believe you can just rent out space without them providing catering.

To check about a space at the Lackawanna Warehouse, you could call Seble Tareke-Williams at 212-293-8896

Was at an event there, quite nice, but I don't know if they could hold 400. That's 50 tables of 8! Worth a call.

Come on now !
Please don't waste your time checking out the Elks on Hutton Street. Heights is just kidding you, as this place is a complete mess . The parties there are attended by drunks, and dangerous types.

Come on now !

There's an Elks in the Heights on Hutton St. between Central and Cambridge Avenues down the block from the police station. I always see parties going on there.

The Hyatt and the Westin each have ballrooms large enough to fit a group that size. Liberty House or Maritime Parc in LSP might not be big enough... but you can call and find out.

Liberty State Park...where the CRRNJ Terminal is. I once went to a St. Peters Prep High graduation there. It was really nice...and am sure they allow for u to bring your own food. Just don't forget my invite. ;)

You might look into Parlay studios:

http://www.parlaystudios.com/

Up until around a year ago this was a very frequent spot for events in the Jersey City arts/music community. Not sure if they still do that sort of thing but it's worth a call at least.

This place is by me, and I see it used all the time for birthdays, receptions, etc.

http://www.yelp.com/biz/ukrainian-community-center-jersey-city

It is pretty close to the JSQ PATH.
