I spoke to our delivery person (in the Heights) and requested 1 instead of 2 and since then that's what we receive. I think it just comes down to talking to the person who actually delivers them. We get ours every Thursday morning.

Disappointed to hear that another restaurant might be closing. I agree that meals here can be hit or miss and that if it's busy it's hard to hear your dining companions. Also, not a big fan of the awkward concrete table... but I still want to route for strong restaurants for this changing neighborhood.
Based on Talde's social media there has definitely been a huge shift in focus to his new Miami restaurant instead of JC. The only JC updates I have seen in the last few months are for Miss Wongs.

I tried the Draper earlier this week and my experience was far from all the 5 star yelp reviews that this thread pointed out. I really wanted to like it and have another great JC place to support but unfortunately they dropped the ball too many times. I have posted my yelp review about the experience and hope that others have a much better time when they check it out.

Besides the markings on pavement there is also a sign posted on the traffic light that says that the left turn is for buses only. This sign and lane have been this way for a few months now. I am surprised to see that this is the first posting about it.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'm in the same boat. I have a flat roof with inside hatch access. Based on your experiences over the past few days, are there any specific companies that you folks would recommend? I need to get the snow cleared off before the leaks become worse.

Try the lot on Warren between Steuben & Morgan.. the lot manager is pretty flexible with letting people park overnight or on the weekends if they're willing to pay.

The Hyatt and the Westin each have ballrooms large enough to fit a group that size. Liberty House or Maritime Parc in LSP might not be big enough... but you can call and find out.

We stopped in last night around 9pm and the place was busy!! We were surprised by the small plates menu which is a Friday & Saturday night special. The burgers were still available but the rest of the sandwiches were not. The small plates sounded and looked good but we had gone in specifically for the sandwich that I liked. Brian came by and I asked him about it and he gladly made the sandwich for me - thank you! I would definitely stop in for a fried chicken night too!

I also recommend Floris. They are sanitary and do a good job. I think a manicure is around $12. Portofino is also clean and they do a good job too. The place in Trump seemed clean but I prefer the other two.

I have lived in the area for five years and have seen vast improvements in the lighting and number of people around the neighborhood. Steuben is much better lit than it used to be before 50 Columbus & Ivy House opened. Morgan is a bit darker at night and the old warehouses still get graffitied however even that has become better. The construction/renovations on Provost St. has helped too. I walk my dog at night and feel safe.

They are now called - Rustique Pizza - ordered from there tonight and the pizza was significantly better than the previous pies we ordered from the last owners. The pizza was not burn and did not take 2hrs to arrive. I will definitely order from there again or stop by to eat in.

I believe that is a public pier so you'd probably have to get a permit from the city. You could also have your event at the Hyatt - they have a terrace on the pier but of course it would cost more because you would have to buy your food/drinks from the hotel.

GP isn't the only one. 50 Columbus does the same thing and never cleans up the side walk afterward. It's probably worse because it also has Teppan's greasy garbage which leaks all over the sidewalk.

I agree. I love their gelato and stopped by there for breakfast for the first time yesterday. We ordered a couple of bagel sandwiches and had a quick bite on the back deck before heading to the farmer's market. Tom also seems to being working with Liberty Humane..
