What is a " Tax Enhancement Committee"?

I went to city hall today for the first ever Tax Enhancement Committee meeting open to the public. Mr. Kabili Tayari was falling asleep.

A bit more on Ms. McFadden,
She is the former president of the NY Mercantile Exchange.
She could command a high seven figure salary however, she works for us. She was a key player in the Depository Trust transaction. We should be honored that she VOLUNTEERS her time to the city.
The other deputy mayors could not hold a candle to her. That comparison is a joke.
Any administration would be lucky to have her, let alone for free.

There are currently two deputy mayors.

Rosemary McFadden, who takes no salary from the City, and Kabili Tayari. Tayari makes $100K.

McFadden is a knowledgeable hard working professional. Tayari is a politically connected moron who brings no skills or value to City government.

The better question is how many deputy mayors do we have? I think its at least 2. Do the math, what a waste. How many other ceremonial jobs for pay are there in this city?

not really ... there was a great article on nj.com about a suspended cop in hoboken, who for the last two years drew a monthly salary of 11k ...

Is it me or is anyone else outraged after reading the Jersey Journal today which states that Ms. Beldini earned $66,000 for a ceremnnial job that had no power. What was she paid this amount forand do we have other such employees making this kind of money for a job that basically does nothing. We cannot afford to live here and get paid much less for jobs that do count-how do we apply for these $66,000.00 a year work free jobs.
