I am glad this election is over. No more flyers under my door, or in my mail. No more flyers on my car, or passed to me while walking the streets of Jersey City. It was a madhouse yesterday and I definitely will not miss that.

I think the best the anti-Healy crowd can hope for is to make him sweat (and spend) a bit during a runoff. But in order to do that they would have to actually turn out and vote for someone else. I'm not so sure of a runoff, either, though. I think there are a small group of passionate voters who want Healy out, but more of the anti-Healy crowd are apathetic and will just shrug their shoulders tomorrow.

no. and i question whether we're even going to see a runoff. im guessing healy gets at least 60, with manzo getting 35 and the rest split. if this does go to a runoff, i'd be surprised.

Elvis, no matter who wins, it's time to have a movement in Jersey City to make sure the Mayor and his administration do a good job. I believe what Dan has done has started to set this movement in the right direction, now it needs to continue. Jersey City can and will be a world class city if we the citizens hold the administration accountable, get involved and help them do their job. We have a great Waterfront, the Heights use to be a great place to live using those two areas as examples...The Heights can easily make a comeback...We have Journal Square that can be rebuilt. At one time Monticello Ave was thriving section. This can be done from the Waterfront to the inner Jersey City. One Jersey City.

I don't think Levin's "team" has any goons working for them . . . on the contrary, its a rather "cerebral" crowd. Very different from the Healy/Manzo teams. And I hope they won't be going away no matter what happens this election.

if there's a run off i'm going to have to move!!
i just really hope there's some record turnout. It will be a shame if its the pathetic turnout that normally plagues local elections. i for one do not care who you support, i just think everyone should have a voice, and people should not be attacked regardless of who they support. shilling or not, thats unfortunately freedom of speech. I just wish this site had more intelligent supporters/shillers. Sometimes i feel as if i'm back on the playground w/ these goons playing sticks and stones.

i am not a healy supporter, but i'm so sick of this bashing. You attack people w/ different beliefs than you just because you're hiding behind a screen. We all know who most of you support, its obvious by reading any posts. If you truly want healy out of office, i hope you did more than sit in your apt and type hate posts on this site, b/c as i've said before this site reaches just a small % of those voting. Back to my original sentance. i did go to some debates, and i tell you what, there were NO BIGGER SUPPORTER GOONS than manzo's team. It was soo distracting b/c they hooted and hollared after every point he made (after continuously being told to hold applause until the end). They did the same w/ his council man for the heights. I went in undecided, but man, if this guy has these type of supporters, to me he reaks like the same old boys club. they ALL HAVE GOONS, this is JC, its a way of life. to bash healy for his goons, and then to act like Manzo supporters are the cream of the crop is the biggest joke i've read on this site so far. i don't give a crap who you like or hate, i have my own brain and my own priorities, i will make up my own decision. So spend the rest of the day bashing whoever you want, you're wasting your breath, as your childish catty comments really won't sway many. all i can say is thank GOD MAY 12th is finally here, and 1/2 of you idiots will log out for good. GOOD RIDDANCE!

I can't help you live in your narrow minded world...get outside and see what is really going on. I mentioned before, I don't personally hate Healy, just the poor overall job he has done as Mayor. If worked as hard at being Mayor as he does campaigning he might have done a good job.

i AM SO GLAD the day is here.
i'm so sick of this political BS. he did this, he did that. get out and vote. this site is just a TINY % of jersey city, as was evident in the results from the school board vote. I think just to be safe i'll stay logged off for a month so everyone can fume about who wins.
