Yes, you say they are aware but will they stop using the playground for the dog ?
Sounds like they don't give a hoot !

Vigilante, did you speak to the owner of Totoro? I hope you did , because it is disgusting that they let their dogs inside the kids playground! I know exactly who they are.

Lets add another fence. This way we can make sure the dogs stay out and so do those hooligan skaters.

Question 1.
Which area is exclusive for kids?
Which area is exclusive for dogs?
Which area is for everyone (with rules like dogs on leash)?

1. Children' Playground
2. Dog Run Enclosure
3. Rest of the Park

If you can answer 3 correct responses then you're above the average IQ of JC.

For those who a 'challenged' by these questions here are the answers;

1. children
2. Dogs
3. Children and Dogs on leash

PS That rubber in the playground could make for a good breeding ground for pee germs or even fleas !

Rather then the dog owners washing their dogs feet?

The only reason I can think of people using the Children's Park is that they are too lazy to clean their dogs from all the mud in the rest of the park...

Laziness and indifference is a bad combination...

Let's just have it out, shall we? An official contest of who can be more self important: dog owners or parents?!?!?!

(I agree that dogs shouldn't be brought into the playground area, but the number of !!! on the title of this thread is too funny)

Ahhhh, somebody else without kids, who doesn't give a #OOPS# if their dog pees and shits where kids play. After all, we wouldn't want the poor little dog's feet to be uncomfortable on the asphalt in the tennis court.

I don't think it's asking too much to keep dogs out of small fenced in childrens play area.Yes there are bigger problems in our community but to ask that one part of Hamlton Park is not covered in urine should be easy enough to solve,

There were no children present though I am guessing. It was late, the tennis courts are rough on the dogs feet so they used the playground which has a rubberized surface. They shouldn't do it but it isn't worth getting yourself into a lather over. I will speak to them. BTW I have seen parents bring their dogs into the playground with their kids.

I can see why they would...

I mean the park is a mess right now, all that mud and all....

Why should they let their dogs run in mud only for them to have to clean up their dogs later when they get home...

It would be so much easier to be disrespectful to your neighbors then to take the 10 minutes to clean up your dog before you take them home....

Is your primary concern that the dogs are peeing in the children's play area?

Let me get this straight. If you didn't know dogs were peeing there, you'd be more comfortable with your kids putting their hands on things outside, and then no big deal if their hands end up in their mouth, eyes, etc?

Are you going to do anything about birds that poo when they fly over? Or squirrels that inevitably do their business everywhere? Other animals? Please. So their dogs were out. I doubt they were there with the immediate attention of pissing on your kids. If they attack you or someone, then that's different.

Just relax, really. This area has come a long way, from heavy drug traffic and other criminal activities. Now the biggest concern is where people's dogs are running around?

No, it's not all that we have to complain about. However, the issue is of importance to many of us on this list.

I know a couple with a great dane but they don't strike me as the type to let their dog roam in the children's park.

And to be clear, this was the children's park, not the tennis courts?
