SANG HOON PAEK

P & S DENTAL LLC

162 NEWARK AVE
JERSEY CITY, NJ 07302

It's one of those awkward triangular buildings along Newark Ave. Office is new (i.e., renovated within past year or so). Dentist, hygienists, and office staff were awesome! My neighbor recommended, and now everyone in my building goes there. He is awesome!

Looking for a dentist with Saturday office hours in JC or anywhere in Hudson County. It would be a plus if they take Delta Dental.

I go to a place called Dentique in Hoboken (right by the PATH).

Good hours, clean office, and they use the new cleaning technique that's like a powder-spray instead of the swirling head.

Found Dr. Zazzaro at Newport Dental Arts (http://www.newportdentalarts.com/ ) after needing an emergency dental appointment. I can't say enough good things about him! He has evening and weekend hours, answered all million of my questions, and is located right next to the Newport PATH station.

For what it's worth, I tried making an appointment with Dr. Lustiger. Despite it being an emergency, they told me they couldn't take me at all that day (I called first thing in the morning). AND the receptionist decided to take it upon herself to diagnose me, telling me I'd need my tooth extracted. WTF?! Hardly necessary. I still have all my teeth. She had NO clue what she was talking about.

+1 more for Lustiger. Great recommendation! I've had issues with my dentists in Jersey City in the past, I wish I knew of his practice earlier...but very happy to have found him and his staff through JC List. Thanks, people!

I have been to avm, and greene dental and I have felt most comfortable with Bo Seok @ jersey city dental care on 3285 kennedy. It's far away but well worth it!

I wish I saw this thread about a week ago.... went to dr.milman and was recommended to have a root canal

it did solve my tooth pain so I think I probably needed it anyways but I did think that he was a little quick in his prognosis

maybe I will be trying someone else to finish the work

Melanie Medrano is an excellent pediatric dentist. Her office is located on York St. on the corner of Jersey Ave. She did a couple fillings for my three year old and did a fantastic job.

Dr. Leung!

http://jclist.com/modules/newbb/viewt ... id=238409#forumpost238409

BTW, I've been to Greene Dental and left them after two visits. They are very friendly, but I thought they were too aggressive in recommending a root canal for molar pain I was having.

That pain stemmed from work they did on a cracked filling they first observed, though the crack they observed was not bothering me.

In short, I thought them too aggressive in their treatment.

By contrast, Dr. Leung had a great, straightforward, funny, and diplomatic manner. More importantly, she advocated only an aggressive treatment of NSAIDs to reduce the acute inflammation of the nerves in the afflicted tooth.

Within three weeks, I was cured!

Bumping this thread to get some more recommendations from folks here. Just moved to JC and looking for a dentist. Slightly phobic so looking for someone with a good bedside manner.

I've used, as well as several family memers, Dr. Scalia on Bergen Avenue. He also has an office in Hoboken I believe.

I'm going to have an upper molar removed due to tooth decay (they can't save it). Does anyone have a good recommendation for a Specialist in Dental implants? NYC or NJ?
