It seems to be a fake, I just spoke to a manager at the Whole Foods in Edgewater and they said it's not them.

He's calling corporate to double check and said he'd get back to me in a few.

He also said the store manager of their store lives in downtown JC and he would've said something and it would've been on their website

Unfortunately the only advice I have to give is just pay it.

Unless you happen to have free time available to sit in court, hoping the judge will show leniency and yes I believe you do have to pay court fees to contest the ticket, but I'm not 100% sure.

Pay it and get it over with, before they throw late fees on it

How difficult is it to start a business in Jersey City...? I have a plethora of ideas...to cater to the artsy and younger and older crowd while being a unique shop that could become a destination. I hear there was a bookstore downtown at one point. Maybe a bookstore/coffee house/art gallery? Something interactive that would keep people coming back for more? I just moved to the area and I feel like there is so much potential! If only I had millions of dollars.

Are there lots of restrictions when starting a business in JC? The only thing I know is that the city requires a permit for practically everything you do to your business and fire inspections are a joke. Anyone on here that owns a business that could give me some insight on this?

Feel free to PM or email me (email is probably easier for me to check) I own the comic book/video game store downtown and I'll try to answer a few of your questions. I don't have much insight but I'll try to help you out where I can.

They actually put one in front of my house while I was not home last week, without permission.

I have nothing against the planting of trees, but if they had done their homework first, they would've realized that putting a tree directly under low power lines will not turn out well in the future. The reason the city cut down the old tree in the 1st place years ago, was due to the wires...well that and the tree branches snapping off and taking them with it.

Hey everyone just letting you know that I'm back up and running but have relocated a few blocks away. It's probably going to take at least 6 months to fix the old store. I want to say thanks to EVERYONE!!! who helped whether it was with info I needed, a good word and even just the offer of assistance. Alot of my customers live closer to the new location and the rest just walk over. So it hasn't been that much of an inconvenience. So anything you need you know how to find me As for my Scrabble buddies, everything is set up so I'm ready to return to winning by default =) Thanks, Floyd...your Friendly Neighborhood SpyderVash (I always wanted to say that) FJB Comics & Games 17 Coles St JC, NJ 07302 12p-7p everyday 201-946-2200 Between Newark Ave & Columbus, 1 Block from Jersey Ave, right next to Hudson County Art Supply Photobucket

I just had a sandwich from here for lunch and WOW!

The guy immediately remembered me, shook my hand and said he appreciated me coming by.

The sandwich was delicious I think it was a grilled chicken vinaigrette. I say I think because I let him choose what to make, because I tend to order the same thing every time if not.

He even gave me a small discount and apologized for making me walk the extra few blocks to get to him.

Apparently he went into business with a partner and opened up his own place. It's great & a bit out of the way of my normal route, but I'll definitely stop by for now on.

I was told yesterday by a friend of mine that one of the guys that works there is, the same guy who used to make the best Sandwiches at A1 Deli.

He was the only one I would allow to make a sandwich for me, to the point where I would walk in and let him choose what I was having for lunch.

I was wondering why I haven't seen him at A1 deli in while, which is why I haven't eaten from there in a while.

I'll walk the extra 2 blocks to get lunch for now on!

This woman did our wedding cake. It was fantastic and very reasonable. Some guests said it was the best wedding cake they ever had.

Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name! I will have to ask my wife and then post later.

Her name was Cynthia and last time she stopped by here, she said she was opening up a new bakery in Newport Mall

I don't have her # right now, but her website is

I've never purchased anything from her, but many people still stop by here looking for her and I hear great things about her cakes!

It's funny when I first opened, the garage next door to the store had been tagged. I asked a few of the kids if they knew who did it, they said yes and that they'd make sure they would stop & or stay away from here.

I haven't seen anymore around here since, hopefully it won't start up again

I haven't used Jon's in years (since it was on the other side of the mall) but I never had a problem back then, perhaps they have new owners or service has just deteriorated.

When I worked at the mall and needed alterations done, I usually went to Justin's in the mall. It's now located by Sears...they've always been great in service and everything, but I don't know if they to alterations for everything.
