Well, it's not like Christie released his emails, cell phone, etc... As an aside, is it true that Christie offered to be the first lady in light of Melania's controversy?

Exactly. Not a single email, text, phone call-despite millions of dollars of public money spent in a partisan attack has shown that Governor Christie knew or had any knowledge of the small traffic disruption. We have more tying Fulop to the PA port than this.
It's not like he deleted 30,000 emails from a non-secured private, illegal server like the presumptive Democrat POTUS candidate, lol.

36 pages of posts later, and the Feds, State of NJ, and partisan pols haven't found a thing to bind Christie to a few traffic cones restricting local lane access to the GWB approach lanes.

Are you serious right now? Have you listened when Trump talks of Christie? Do you listen when Trump gives stump speeches with Christie on stage? Trump flat out told the guy to go home on a hot mic and constantly belittles the guy in speeches. Trump used him and that's it. He doesn't come close to respecting the guy.

The only conclusion anyone arrived at was that Christie has pushed all his chips into the center of the table on a bet that being Trump's staunchest defender would be rewarded when it came time to picking a vice president. I almost feel bad for Christie. Pretty pathetic. Let's just hope he keeps himself busy with the transition team.

'Trump doesn't respect Christie'? Nonsense. Choosing a VP is all about political posturing, and the Indiana guy is a political move. Can we see who crooked Hillary picks to compare?

What makes you so sure Christie wouldn't get AG? As a former federal prosecutor, he seems like a natural choice.

So Monroe, what is your fondest fantasy now for your boy: he resigns Nov 9th to run the transition and gets a 2nd tier cabinet post as reward? He'll not get AG, it would be like HUD or Transport.
Trump Victory bad for the USA, but spares NJ one more year of CC. That would be a silver lining to humongous clod (sp?)

http://www.weeklystandard.com/manafor ... trumps-vp/article/2003351
Cleveland New Jersey governor Chris Christie was reportedly enraged he didn't earn the VP spot, according to a top Trump campaign official. While minding my own business at the Starbucks inside the Westin hotel this morning, I saw a man engage Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in conversation about the VP selection process. The man, whom I couldn't identify, suggested that Pence was a smart pick and Gingrich would've been a disaster. "Christie was livid, right?" the man said at one point. "Yeah," Manafort replied. Christie has made no secret that he was disappointed he wasn't chosen to be Donald Trump's running mate. "I don't like coming in second. Ever," Christie said Thursday. But the conversation overheard by THE WEEKLY STANDARD Sunday suggests Christie's feelings were far more intense than mere disappointment. -This may explain Trump's last minute effort to reverse the Pence pick. Christie didn't take it well.

If Christie had anything to do with it and used a cell phone to contact Baroni and Kelly they'd have their own records on their phones. Let's not forget, Christie isn't a defendant in this case. His cell phone has no bearing on this, as the Federal judge ruled.
So the lawyers that represented the state gave the phone to Christie's attorney. He could've thought it was destroyed, or wiped clean. With a cloth!

Gov. Christie's cell phone is no longer missing
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2016 ... 2box_nj-homepage-featured ...The defendants were hoping to get the phone and other devices used by Christie and his top staff to see what may have been discussed about the alleged politically motivated September 2013 lane closures at the George Washington Bridge. At issue in the federal corruption case are a dozen deleted text messages sent between Christie and his then-chief of staff, Regina Egea, during testimony by Port Authority staff before the state Legislature then investigating the 2013 shutdown of local toll lanes at the George Washington Bridge... and this - http://www.mcall.com/news/nationworld/pennsylvania/mc- nj-chris-christie-cellphone-bridgegate-20160707-story.html Attorneys for former allies of Republican Gov. Chris Christie can't get access to his cellphone as part of pretrial preparation in the George Washington Bridge lane-closing case, a judge ruled Thursday. U.S. District Judge Susan Wigenton granted a motion by the law firm representing Christie's office to quash a subpoena by former allies Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly, who face trial in the fall on charges they conspired to close lanes to create traffic jams in 2013 to punish a Democratic mayor for not endorsing Christie...

Hilarious you could muster fauxrage about Trump's tax returns when Crooked Hillary made tens of millions of dollars in "speaking fees," aka thinly disguised bribes, and has refused to release any of the transcripts from her Wall Street speeches.

Oh please don't compare that orange haired creep to Bloomberg. Bloomberg actually created things of value. Trump, other than the original Trump towers, has created nothing. His greatest asset is the Trump brand, which is rapidly depreciating as an asset. No wonder why he won't release his tax returns.

Yes, I fully concede that my expectation of this being slam dunk has turned out to be incorrect, but I also agree with you that Trump's path to victory is narrow (I would say extremely narrow.) If Obama's approval rating had been lower, I would have assessed a higher chance for Trump, but it is at his highest since 2012. http://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press ... cond-inauguration-n578866 And he has not even begun to campaign for Hilary. She will have a very popular former president and a soon-to-be former president campaigning for her. And I firmly believe Sanders will too. So I think that while Trump will solidify support of his base by going further and further to right, he won't gain new support from undecided voters. But of course, I don't have a crystal ball to predict the future. So I may turn out to be wrong. To me, Trump's victory means the end of democracy in America, so me turning out to be wrong in comparison seems trivial.
