Won't that interfere with the September BBQ festival as well as other businesses in the area ?

Call your attorney and their insurance co. "injured" parties are collecting money like crazy. The lawyer knows there is money to be made. Not sure if the city has to issue a ticket to the property first though.

How much money can we bet that the Chinese restaurant will be another venture by the Sawadee/More/Box/Shanghai Best/Better Interior Design than Authentic Food owner?

If it is well vented, doesn't that mean you are more likely to smell it as you walk by? Also, in another post it was mentioned that National Cleaners was going to be Chinese and Ginfi would be Indian.

For you old timers, how many incarnations of the Ginfi space can you remember? The oldest ones I remember are the Antique Store and Subito.

This makes me happy. I hope they make a better go of it than the last two restaurants in that spot.

I hope the aroma dosen't clash with the morning coffee (or tea) at Basic. This is not something I am looking forward to.

Has anyone heard about what's going into this space on the corner of Erie and Pavonia in the space of the old dry cleaner. Looks like they are doing some really nice exterior work. I'm hoping they are putting in a bar/restaurant but I'm not sure about the zoning. We need more restaurants in the in neighborhood, we are sevely lacking good food choices.

This is definitely the plan, but I don't know how far along they are in getting approvals etc. I got the impression they leapt before they looked.

Quick visual update on one of my favorite neighborhood mystery properties, otherwise known on this board as your future Whole Foods Outlet below:
Clearly work is progressing and yet no one seems to know what to expect (same goes for the adjoined dilapidated townhouse)...

au contraire - it is going to be a 0.1 Foods. Nine more small stores are also being opened and together they will form a 1.0 Foods.

Actually I heard it was going to be an artisanal haberdasher and purveyor of fine pocket watches that serves craft beer while you wait for your fixed-gear bike to be repaired.
