A way to approach this and put maximum pressure may be to start a tenant association if the owner does not provide rent adjustment. I remember people creating one at one of the new Avalon Cove Newport towers about 15 years ago. The tower was ill designed (as if we would not know with the fire at their Edgewater complex), drafty, and people had huge utility bills. Management there was pretty much dragging their feet until they pulled off the association card. I know they did something, I don't know how effective the repairs were.

What a total FU by the building to do this over the summer. There should at a minimum be some sort of adjustment to the maintenance fee.
The amenity floor of the Trump Building is what sells it, I liked their pool way better than 77 Hudson.

I was looking at another place to rent in JC some years ago and was told the pool wouldn't be available that summer either for similar reasons as the Trump building. I asked if they considered making arrangements with another nearby building so the residents could swim and was told no. I ended up not renting there. Seriously, couldn't they wait until call to do the work?
