Unfortunately, we won't be doing gas, as we don't have the equipment or space, and insurance for that is a whole different ballgame.

Hoboken Beer and Soda does CO2 tank exchanges, and I know Staples (and I think Sears as well) do SodaStream tank exchange as well. If you do want refills instead of exchanges, there are some gas companies in the industrial part of Ironbound that refill.

Fantastic news. I'll be so happy not to have to walk 1/2 mile to find a decent beer selection.

See you on the 25th.

WE ARE OPENING TUESDAY 2/25!!!

Yes, you read that correctly, The Thirsty Quaker is finally opening on Tuesday, 2/25! We know everybody has been very excited for us to open, and the patience has paid off. We have over 500 different beers in stock, a full range of wine, and a great selection of craft spirits, scotch, rum, liqueurs, and more. And of course, we have all the ingredients and equipment you?ll need to make that next batch of homemade beer or wine.

So please tell all your friends that we?re open for business, and visit us soon to say hi! If you have any suggestions or requests, please let us know, and if there are ways we can improve, we would love some feedback to help us be the best shop for all your needs.

Check out www.thirstyquaker.com for information on hours business hours, and to see photos and video of the store. We'll be updating the site over the next couple days with some more info.

I really want to thank everyone from JCList for all the support and suggestions, we really want the Thirsty Quaker to be a center for the community, and you all have helped us in that goal. We especially can't wait to install that growlers system!

Any updates? Is it the usual permit violation: "failure to provide sufficiently stuffed envelope"?

Good to hear! I?ve a reno project left and was hoping to do some home-brewing after that. So this might line up well?

Doesn't matter to me. As long as the date lines up, I'm golden.

Agreed. That's why I love barcade. They know their stuff.

Yeah I can see that. However I wasn't planning on anyone spending a precious weekend night to do something like this and I don't mean that sarcastically.

In the early afternoon, barcade isn't that crowded or loud at all. But if/when I organize this ill put it to a vote. Democracy at work! :)

very soon! Sorry for all the delays, but I think we all know how it can be sometimes. It took a while to get our permits, but we're getting our work done quickly now, and if our inspections go well, we'll be open in the next couple weeks! It's mostly just electric work (our lovely beer fridge is functional now!) and fire safety things, so it shouldn't be too troublesome, I hope.

Once I complete another renovation project, I'll be all set to brew on my own. When are the classes looking to get setup?

Yes, we have gift cards with nice little gift card holders, which make for a great gift!

We're hoping to do it by March. Once we do growlers, we'll be able to get a lot of specialty stuff that doesn't come in growlers. And breweries like Carton have said they're more likely to give us special releases (like Carton Boat cans!) if we do growler fills.

We've already had some orders for delivery by the way, and looking to get more. We just got a big shipment of wine and sparkling wines, so stock up for the New Year! We'll post the new stuff online later tonight.

Just out of curiosity... How fast is delivery? Say I order today, when should I expect it to arrive?
As has been said, it's quick. We'll get it out the door and to your house in just a few minutes. Or tell us you need it at 7pm the following day and we'll bring it by then. It's up to you.

And we do take credit cards for delivery.

Oh, and we just got a big shipment of even more wine in the other day, and a lot of scotch, rum, and other spirits. More beer incoming tomorrow as well, so we're constantly updating that list at www.thirstyquaker.com/orders

Extremely efficient delivery. Ordered enough supplies for an extract brew plus some new equipment and some beers. Was here in less than an hour.

That is an impressive beer list. I might have to make a gift order for Christmas. I wish my family got me booze rather than more sweaters I'll never wear. I've got a lot of freaking sweaters.

We can't open our doors yet (things move slow in JC), but we're already doing deliveries! We're getting new deliveries every day so the list keeps getting updated, but we've already got hundreds of craft beers, wine & champagne, scotch, rum, and more.

And of course, home beer and wine-making supplies are perfect gifts for Christmas. We have a discount on equipment kits and books at the moment, and a 5% discount on all deliveries if you mention this post. And don't forget New Year's Eve!

Visit http://thirstyquaker.com/orders/ for info on how to get a delivery.

Also, we did get our hands on some of the things requested in this thread:
- Maine Brewing (two beers)
- Green Flash (a few, but they ran out of Green Bullet)
- Port Brewing (a couple, including Old and Older Viscosity)
- Oskar Blues Ten Fidy (and a few more)
- Founder's Breakfast Stout
- Some midwest and southwest things like Great Lakes, Epic, Uinta, and Pangea

And I want to thank everyone for being so supportive. Everyone in the community has been really excited for us to open, and we can't wait to get our doors open so everyone can start browsing.
