Fantastic news. I'll be so happy not to have to walk 1/2 mile to find a decent beer selection.
See you on the 25th.

Great news!
BTW, I was researching alternatives for Sodastream CO2, and several sources said brewing suppliers can refill small CO2 tanks like those used for paintball. Is CO2 part of your brewing supplies?

If you have any suggestions or requests, please let us know, and if there are ways we can improve, we would love some feedback to help us be the best shop for all your needs. Check out www.thirstyquaker.com for information on hours business hours, and to see photos and video of the store. We'll be updating the site over the next couple days with some more info. Any updates? Is it the usual permit violation: "failure to provide sufficiently stuffed envelope"?

Good to hear! I?ve a reno project left and was hoping to do some home-brewing after that. So this might line up well? Quote:

If you actually enjoy good tasting beer, Zepp isn't really that great. I have said it time and time again, I really doubt they clean their draft lines (regularly at least).
Now if you want to consume copious amounts of beer and don't care for quality. That's your place.

Yeah I can see that. However I wasn't planning on anyone spending a precious weekend night to do something like this and I don't mean that sarcastically.
In the early afternoon, barcade isn't that crowded or loud at all. But if/when I organize this ill put it to a vote. Democracy at work! :) Quote:

As for classes, we haven't set a specific date yet. We want to make sure we're settled in and running smoothly before we start branching out too much. But we're planning to do classes in our backyard, so by the time it warms up we should be good to go.

Blasphemy! The Zepp is awesome. And, if the goal is too meet f2f and, perhaps, engage in some lively conversations, you can't do better. I love Barcade, too, but it is simply too loud (at nights) to have a meaningful conversation with many other people.

If its all the same, I think it should be a Barcade outing. I actually don't like zeppelin all that much. But I'll make it happen.

Once I complete another renovation project, I'll be all set to brew on my own. When are the classes looking to get setup?

LOL! Thanks. That's some fine good stuff. Just get the Biergarten outing going and I'll make a trip...

And we do take credit cards for delivery. Oh, and we just got a big shipment of even more wine in the other day, and a lot of scotch, rum, and other spirits. More beer incoming tomorrow as well, so we're constantly updating that list at www.thirstyquaker.com/orders

Extremely efficient delivery. Ordered enough supplies for an extract brew plus some new equipment and some beers. Was here in less than an hour.

Yeah of course, we'll be looking to get special and new releases all the time. It's a bit difficult to snatch them up as a new store, but we've got a great relationship with a lot of distributors and brewers, so you have good things to look forward to.

We've already had some orders for delivery by the way, and looking to get more. We just got a big shipment of wine and sparkling wines, so stock up for the New Year! We'll post the new stuff online later tonight.

Love Love Love the Allagash selection! Any chance of widening the net there, getting Grand Cru, Confluence or Interlude?

That is an impressive beer list. I might have to make a gift order for Christmas. I wish my family got me booze rather than more sweaters I'll never wear. I've got a lot of freaking sweaters.

We can't open our doors yet (things move slow in JC), but we're already doing deliveries! We're getting new deliveries every day so the list keeps getting updated, but we've already got hundreds of craft beers, wine & champagne, scotch, rum, and more.
And of course, home beer and wine-making supplies are perfect gifts for Christmas. We have a discount on equipment kits and books at the moment, and a 5% discount on all deliveries if you mention this post. And don't forget New Year's Eve! Visit http://thirstyquaker.com/orders/ for info on how to get a delivery. Also, we did get our hands on some of the things requested in this thread: - Maine Brewing (two beers) - Green Flash (a few, but they ran out of Green Bullet) - Port Brewing (a couple, including Old and Older Viscosity) - Oskar Blues Ten Fidy (and a few more) - Founder's Breakfast Stout - Some midwest and southwest things like Great Lakes, Epic, Uinta, and Pangea And I want to thank everyone for being so supportive. Everyone in the community has been really excited for us to open, and we can't wait to get our doors open so everyone can start browsing.
