The old It's Greek To Me restaurant is going to be a burger/bar joint called Left Bank Burger Bar.
The place going under the new apartment building on 3rd Street and Newark Avenue is called Union Republic. I believe it will be a restaurant and a grocery which should open in a month or so.

What's going on at the 10th st. embankment? I live on the corner of 10th & Jersey and they've been doing construction all week. Anyone know what they're building??

The real estate office on the corner of Grove and York has been cleared out. Looking forward to seeing what opens up in that space.

Instead of guessing games isn't there a number to a specific city agency we can call to get instant info on "What's going there?" You may try your ward council person or any of the 3 at-large. after all they have to vote on these projects.

There are two storefronts seemingly under construction on the western side of Erie Street, in the span between 1st Street and 5th Street. Anybody know what's going on with those spaces?

There is a huge crane on a barge docked at the Paulus Hook Ferry Terminal. There have been workers installing and working on what look like tall, pointed columns toward the end of the pier. Seems like a bigger project than just maintenance. Anyone know what's going on there?

Anyone know about what is or is not happening at the NE corner of Morris and Warren? Across from Presto's there is a ground floor apartment with beautiful bay windows that has always looked to me like it should be a restaurant. The last few days there has been activity cleaning and painting. but I don't know if it's business related or just fixing up an apartment.

Somebody mentioned that the construction crew indicated it would be some sort of a burger bar. I'm not sure if that means it will be a burger joint with a liquor license, or a bar that happens to serve burgers. Hopefully something cool - it's a nice sized space in a great location, lots of big windows.

Hopefully a craft beer BAR, versus shop. We have enough places to buy retail craft beer! A craft beer-focused bar would be so successful, and a welcome addition to Barcade and Pint.

Didn't realize the meat market was closed. I bought chicken there a few times over the years. No complaints about the quality, but the place was a bit scroungy which I guess led my mind to believe that the meat might not have been super fresh. If we are lucky, a bona fide butcher shop would open there, and include FISH. That would be really awesome.

Does anyone know what's going at the space on Grove, between Montgomery and York? It's in the middle of the block, across from Simon's parking lot. Used to be a deli / mini-grocery store (hispanic? I remember it has a Spanish name), but they took away everything several weeks ago, and now I see some work starting?

And... I heard it's going to be more like a teppanyke grill type restaurant. What ever it is it should be a great addition to the Village Shope & RestUrants in the neighborhood. Looking forward to it!

What's opening on the first floor of the new rental building up on Newark Ave by 3rd st (i think that's the cross st there)? Looked like it could be a restaurant or cafe or deli since they have some equip going in that looks like a griddle and hood.
