The old It's Greek To Me restaurant is going to be a burger/bar joint called Left Bank Burger Bar.

The place going under the new apartment building on 3rd Street and Newark Avenue is called Union Republic. I believe it will be a restaurant and a grocery which should open in a month or so.

As of this morning metal fences were put up as barricades around the perimeter of the old Chemical factory. The good news is "Sex & Drug Alley" is officially closed. For those of you who don't live in close proximity to this dead end street, which leads to St. Peter's Prep?s football field, you have been spared of late night escapades. No more walking your dogs in broken glass from thrown beer bottles, used condoms and tampons and empty drug baggies. The bad news is the neighborhood will be loud as a result of the construction vehicles, pile drivers, etc? And just when you thought that was bad enough?there will be limited to no parking in a neighborhood which already struggles with no parking. I will do my best to update the Jersey City community weekly as a resident in the area.
