We finally made it to How Sweet It Is on Saturday. The wife and I perused the goods, and spoke to the owners. The man was SO sweet and nice to talk. The wife was equally nice while busy restocking some items. Overall, a very nice experience. We bought a few items and went on our way. I wish them the very best. They are a very nice couple, with a really nice attitude. I hope their business succeeds and thrives. Support them!

Great store!! Really needed in JC--

Their chocolates are fantastic and presented in a lovely box--perfect gift if you need to bring a little something to a party or as a thank you gift.

Worth a visit. Great candy by the pound and extensive selection.

Everything from Swedish fish to natural dried fruits and nuts.

Will definitely be back.

Store is wonderful. Hope the foot traffic on Washington is enough to sustain it!

Was the the new candy shop Sunday... interesting place with lots of choices... the owners/managers were very friendly... ended up with some peices of chocolate... very nice flavor perfect location for a sweet fix after a nice dinner or lunch at the other resturants nearby!

Nice little store. My son was very happy to take home a bag of gummies. I wish they had some higher quality chocolates, though - truffles, or something similar would be nice.

Just got back from the candy store! Yay! I selected a half pound box of chocolates and had a great time filling a bag with candy (chiclets. scotties, sour grapefruits, Swedish fish, etc.).

The fact that they have multiple flavors of PopRocks means that I'll be back!

There was a family with children who must already be repeat customers as the folks working seemed to know them. Fantastic. I think it's a lovely little addition to the neighborhood. A terrible addition to my weight.

Welcome to the neighborhood, How Sweet It Is.

I went last night to check the store out and pick up a little something, it's a lovely store and the owners were very sweet. Seems like one family, mother & father, daughter and husband perhaps or brother.

We picked up a few little things and everything was great. Nice to see some of the old school candies and a great addition to the area. Wish them all the best and will try to support as long as my waistline will allow.

Crazy, but Bed, Bath and Beyond usually sells packages of old time penny candy. Usually you can find it around the check-out counters.

Any good place or places in JC that have any penny candies?
I know there was a place in PA that has a store like this which all they have is the "old school" penny & nickel candies.

I went there today with my 2 year old - they were super nice and very accommodating (even watched my stroller outside while we shopped (without asking)). We will definitely support them (I just don't want to buy candy from them every week or my kid will be spoiled - I saw they had balloons in the back though, so that's another option.)

They opened today! :) My visit was delicious . . . candy, chocolate, dried fruits and nuts. Try the dried strawberries and kiwi.

It'll be right next door to Hook Pharmacy, right down the street from Satis...not sure when both spots will open...hopefully soon.

Yes! *DO* tell more - where is it on Washington? Would love to buy Mother's Day gifts there, though sounds as though they are not yet open.

I was walking around in Paulus Hook last night after a delicious dinner at Satis. Looks like there is a chocolate/candy store opening up on Washington Street. I think it's a great idea for that neighborhood!
