Went last night for dinner. The food and service were wonderful and even if we did pay a corkage fee, the prices are so reasonable that we didn't notice. I will be back many, many times.

Wait, if I eat there and bring a bottle of wine, I have to pay eight dollars for them to open it? That's a rip, sorry.

wow, really, a corkage fee? I was looking forward to trying this place but don't think I will after that. I like BYOBs because I SAVE money... that's disappointing.

Went last night, great addition to the neighborhood. Food was great, service was great and the atmosphere is cozy. My only gripe came with the bill, which included an $8 corkage fee. That is excessive, to say the least. Honestly, I have never been charged a corkage fee before at a BYOB. It left a sour note on an otherwise lovely dinner.

Just moved back to PH and was happy to see this new place open. When we came in they were full, couldn't seat us right away, so went to pick up wine down the block. The food was fantastic, prawns a bit salty, my filet is great with that sauce, but all great.
And cant beat the byob, had a great wine for $20. PLace is very affordable, hope this will actually stay open for a while!

For the atmosphere I give it 8, the food is 9, service was 9.
All in all, had a great time and we will be back to try the rest of the menu. Lunch starts next week, and we both work only 2 blocks away, can't wait to try those meats hanging in the back.

I'm so excited to try Satis tonight. I've been hearing so much buzz about the place and I read a great blog post on the Kanibal Home site. Can't wait to have a decent byo in the area!

Also ate here at a private work function. Food really was amazing. Kind of a western European flair to it...a little Italy, Spain and France. They served a complimentary meat and cheese board at the beginning. As far as I understand this will be for purchase once the restaurant is open but it really made a nice starter. They had about 15 different meats to choose such as Prosciutto De Parma, Serrano Ham, chorizo and a few others that I was not familiar with. Being half Italian I have had my fair share of dried and smoked meats and these really were superior.

We all tried a few different apps and entrees. I had a simple Spinach, potato, pancetta and soft boiled egg salad with a lemon fennel dressing...really simple but really good. My coworker had something that was similiar to Polenta but it was made with chickpeas along with chickpeas and spinach. We also tried the Ricotta Gnocci with white beans, escarole and garlic. Get the full order as a app and share it, it will be well worth it.

For entrees I had the short rib with chorizo and goat cheese mashed potatoes. My coworker had the veal milanese and we shared a Coc Au Vin. Again all really good.

I had the German Chocolate Gelato sundae which was good but they had some interesting desserts that I didnt try this time. I really want to try the Sweet Potato and Maple Creme Brulle next time.

Being a foodie in training as I like to consider myself this place really hit the spot for me. Almost comfort food done up a notch. Looking forward to going there again....too bad I'll have to pay next time.

I am so excited to try Satis. We've needed more BYOB dining options in JC. This is great.

Ate here tonight as part of a work function (official opening is Thursday night.) Outstanding! And though I didn't pay, the prices on the menu are really, really reasonable -- most expensive is the filet mignon at 20bones. More importantly, the food was really, really good. And the raspberry gelato for dessert was really an outrage, the great kind of outrage -- as in, I am mad at myself for only now experiencing this for the first time.

I'm sure there will be the usual restaurant opening hiccups in the coming weeks but our experience was seamless.

Definitely worth a try.

Note -- the place is BYOB but booze can be delivered from the liquor store on the corner should one be thirsty and forget to bring it with.

I think there is a lower space next door that will have the deli. I'm hoping they get some good quality stuff in there, although once Buon Italia opens, I doubt I'll be shopping anywhere else.

Wait, so this will have a butcher/meat market aspect to it? Like, will it be a place to grab some chicken breasts, steaks, etc?

Fingers crossed!! Glad they finally got the green light to open - it's been sitting empty for months.

I am looking forward to trying this place.

FYI the new Turkish place, Rumi, that replaced Kitchen Cafe is also BYO and is pretty good.

I saw a sign on the front of Satis Bistro about their grand opening. It's supposedly happening on December 9th. You can make reservations on Open Table.

It looks fairly interesting, and it's nice to have a BYOB option in the area other than Presto's and their crappy wine glasses that taste like dish detergent.
