Food was great. Seems like the festival grew a bit from last year as well.

we were there both Friday and Sunday (this evening), the food looked and tasted pretty home made (delicious). the beer sold in the back of Holy Rosary was surely imported from Poland - Żywiec and Warka, 500 ml (1/2 litre) cans.

the sanctuary of St. Anthony's was open for all to visit and enjoy.

Had a lunch of pierogies & kielbasa. The sausage is the real deal, not supermarket. Those little old ladies kibitzing to each other in Polish would probably die before serving anything less than authentic.

I had to go because my grandma's a church lady there and told me she peeled 1,200 potatoes for the pierogies. And yes, I bought a Polish Princess shirt.

As for the booze, they had a mini Polish beer garden/bar and served Warka and Zywiek. Vodka-wise, they had Luksusowa and they're sponsored by Bak's Zubrowka, complete with a poster of girls making out (yes, at a Roman Catholic Polish Church). The $2 Zubrowka happy hour was very nice.

I had an awesome time and I'm going again tomorrow for brunch.

i actually liked the stuffed cabbage. flavor was all there. i didn't think the kielbasa tasted like hillshire farms either.

I was woefully disappointed with the food at this year's festival. The kielbasa was the Hillshire Farms turkey kielbasa type sausage, not the real kielbasa from the Polish butcher. The stuffed cabbage was 95% rice. Last year the kielbasa was the real thing. The pierogis were very good though. That pretty much made it all worthwhile.

I didn't see any Polish beer.

They didn't have zeppolis last year either, obviously so many people bemoaned their absence that they brought in a vendor, rather than the crew of little old ladies who make them at the Italian festival.

I can't believe there's no post about this from someone affiliated, so I'll fill in.

Even if festivals aren't to your taste, you should see the interior of this 115 year old Polish Catholic church, you'll be transported to central Europe! It's full of stained glass, sculptures (many elaborately painted), amazing mosaics, and and much architectural detail. My favorite is the odd deco-gothic bronze vertical tube fluorescent light fixtures on the stone columns, not something anyone would conceive of doing today.
