Brief update, the lady spoke with the cops, they id'd the female and put out a warrant for her arrest. Apparently they know her. Not sure yet about the guy. Also, I replied to you, JM

Package thief recorded

Home away from home

Took out my trash this evening about 6, and I see a lady furiously opening a package by our basement door. As I had my headphones on and my phone in my hand anyway, it was simple to lean against the stairs and record the pair. After they ripped open the package and left, I went and looked at the box to find the address of a block away. I took the box and went to them to find a pair of people talking to each other. I asked the lady if she was [name on the box] and she said she was. I said "some people just stole your lamp and i have it on video". I kinda wish I'd just taken the box from them, but you can't go around taking sht from people even if you are sure it's stolen. Hell, I've been carrying stuff and wanted to ditch the packaging to make it easier.

Middle-aged, hispanic couple - the guy seemed pissed that she was doing this, tbh. He was tall, thin, in all black with white sneakers. She was around 40, frizzy shoulder-length hair, blue jacket, gray spandex and black sneakers.

I posted the video up on youtube privately for the recipient to show the cops because I couldn't email the over 20 mb file. She said the cops might ask me for help, so I guess I should wait before making it public?

Also, feel free to combine this with any of the other numerous package thief threads up already.

yea, you mean the GUY THAT DID A GOOD DEED IN RETURNING A LOST WALLET IS BLACK WHAT A SHOCK. NOT ONE THAT WAS STOLEN. picking up a lost wallet is not the same as stealing a wallet, you fucking racist idiot. the act of picking up a wallet is not a crime you mentally retarded dumbfuck. walking away with it is not a crime either. not turning it in to the police or returning it to the owner/keeping the possessions is.

PLEASE SHOW ME THE STATISTICAL EVIDENCE OF RACE OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE PICKED UP LOST WALLETS AND KEPT THE MONEY. shit, i just googled it and you get a (very small sample sized) reader's digest study of lost wallets in cities throughout the world. top of the list: helsinki, mumbai, budapest, new york. bottom of the list: lisbon, madrid, prague, zurich

jfc the cognitive dissonance with you is astonishing. i can't wait for a few of you morons to self end come next friday.

Dumb, racist and barely literate is no way to go through life, Mr. Trump. Here, I'll highlight some key words that you obviously missed:

It's not that he's just a racist, but an idiot, too.

"So there was a wallet picked up in a mostly white/Asian neighborhood? Must have been a black guy!"

Seriously, put on your dunce cap, sit in the corner for a while and think about how stupid what you said is.

one: that isn't even coherent english. is it 20 per hundred, 20 per thousand or 20 per hundred thousand?

two: the only answer that makes any remote sense is the last. because you are so damn stupid, i will copy/paste my earlier math because wow you are dumb

on another note, let's just move the zeros over and spell out the math for the double-digit iq people in here:

$0.02 for each $100
0.20 for 1,000
2.00 for 10,000
20 for 100,000
200 for 1,000,000

seriously, go find a third grader and apologize to them because you can't do basic shit as well as them.

OH HEY LOOK IF ITS 20 PER 100,000 THEN IT'S 200 PER MILLION LIKE WE'VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG YOU DUMBASS

when people get upset that we're not providing enough services for the mentally handicapped, they should point to you as a case study. get someone in your life with the slightest modicum of common sense and start listening to them.

I love it. The last resort of the intellectually stunted.

BUT. But..

Never let it be said that I'm unwilling to communicate with other people in the only way they know how. Shame on your mother for raising a bigot without a third grade education.

A company called Azek makes a modular product where you place down a base made out of rubber tiles with what is essentially rubber bricks that you lay down on top of the base like interlocking Legos. It only works on relatively flat surfaces, but you don't need to screw them or glue them down onto/into the roof.

It's something like 12 bucks for i think 14" or 16" squares.

As someone with a degree in history, I'm perfectly happy with fewer people reading the bible. It is one of the worst written pieces of awful sci-fi/fantasy fiction in all of recorded language.

The less people who want to look to contradictory fairy tales for answers the better.

For those rhetorically asking about crossing in the pathway and speeding, if you look at the pictures, the dude's hat and sneakers are in the middle of the intersection. This means he was probably in the crosswalk. If you're struck by a car, clothing on your extremities are subject to whiplash and tend to get knocked off right away (although the other major opportunity for that to happen is during impact with the ground, so that is a possibility). http://i.imgur.com/NkleEfD.gif for a much tamer version of this.

Also, in order for the body itself to be thrown "50 feet", the driver had to be going at a significant rate of speed, probably well over the 25 speed limit.

Obviously no idea bout crossing against or with the light because no one has any idea on that, but you can figure out the answers to two out of those three posits.

In other nits to pick,
