When the state of NJ turned 350 years old, there were articles about changing the NJ flag, yes it is ugly. Maybe Mississippi should start a campaign against the NJ flag.

Georgia's current state flag is based on the first confederate national flag. Alabama's is based on confederate battle flags. So this is an issue that spreads beyond just Mississippi.

Get your facts straight - the flags were there in the past along the south end of the park. It's not the Confederate flag, it's the flag of the state of Mississippi - it can't be both.
Stop trying to make something out of nothing and trying to re-write history. It is what it is. If you don't like the US, there are over 10,000 miles of boarder where you can gladly leave the Union. Try North Korea, China, Iran or Russia for starters and see how you like it.

Confederate Flag added to Liberty State Park. All 50 state flags were just added - but the Flag of Mississippi should be replaced with some other version - also a few other states are questionable. This National Park after all is in Jersey City - which is one of the most diverse cities on earth - so we don't need this redneck flag.
