Aw, too bad you have to go all the way up to Sussex County.

Where can we watch election results Tuesday night

Hello,

I asked several bar/restaurants if they were showing election coverage Tuesday and the typical response is perhaps, and without volume due to how polarizing this election is. I've watched election coverage in the past at a now defunct restaurant and it was really exciting. Can anybody say for sure what restaurant/bar will air it front and center?

I've lived by St. Peters College since 2010. This neighborhood must begentrifying based on the increased # of organic products for sale at C-Town. No joke. I've always felt extremely safe on my block. When we lived in Hamilton Park the car was broken into repeatedly. Haven't had a single problem up here. We are on Glenwood and love it.

As soon as I bit into the pizza at this bistro I *knew* it tasted of Favia Lite. This is not a compliment. I actually think Powerhouse has decent food for the $ - gigantic portions. Decent sauvignon blanc @ Bistro.

We park our car on the street and have never had a problem with vandalism or finding spots. The units are riding the same market ups and downs as elsewhere. Despite the fees, t can be difficult to find availability here. As for the maintenance fees, I will say this is the most stress free place I've lived (rented and owned), so you get what you pay for in this case.

I'm aggravated with the stoppage of the reval b/c most of the properties have already looked at. I don't want to deal with that again. Also, sooner orlater a reval has to be done. The can't keep being kicked down the road, that only exacerbates the problem.

50 Glenwwod is an old, impeccably maintained building with doorstaff and outdoor space. Maintenance is a bit high but includes heat and minor repairs. What else do you want to know?

The Doubletree is fine. It's not as high profile as the Westin, but it's a decent place to stay, especially if they are in the hilton honor points program.

I didn't vote for Healy, but I don't understand why he conceded when only 15% of the votes had been counted. I guess I'm used to Hoboken elections that have 5 runoffs and 2 fistfights.

I love the saxaphoneplayer near Sawadee. His playing there is asign of spring/summer in JC. His playing is so melancholy and evocative. I miss it when he's not there. I think he is a JC icon.

It doesn't matter who the mayor is - JC is long overdue for a re-eval. The real question is why hasn't the city been keeping up with them (and therefore avoided the sticker shock effect). I do think now is as good a time as any to do it since property values have dipped.

With regard to the issue of evaluators using pencil and not giving property owners a copy, PHOTOGRAPH the diagram/notes they wrote for a record. They left us a door tag andwe have an appt for a 5/3 look-see.

There is live music uptown in McGinley Square, good if you like jazz.

@Monmouth man, for al intent and purposes the PATH is running from JC to NYC as it did pre-Sandy. The weekend closures of the wtc line is due to construction at the freedom tower and wtc PATH stop in Manhattan. As for that scary walk thru the ghetto from jsq to Montgomery Ave., honestly stop being a lazy pussy. I've done it for years, multiple times per day and have never had an incident. Guess you're scared you'll run into me.

Actually, the jitneys run 24 hours. They are just limited after 1:30 am

The jitney bus from platform b at JSQ is a good option. I took it this morning and there was no line. They leave as soon as they fill. The one drawback is the meandering path it takes thru Union City (up to 30th St) before heading through Lincoln Tunnel. Coming home there was no wait. Full disclosure: I work school hours so I was at JSQ around 6 am and in PABT around 3:15 to go home. The 2/3 trains are operating fine as well. For the person who needed a late night option to go home, these jitneys leave gate 51 from PABT up to 1 am. The PATH will stop at 10 pm. Hope this helps.

Still no power here in GV but Thank gd no flooding at all. The best ways to get into NYC from GV is to use the buses or vans along Kennedy Blvd to port authority or ferry/water taxi @ Port Liberty. Stay safe Listers!

User1111-
I never see buses/vans along jfk. Is this to cover the PATH shortfall? Do they pick up at any corner if you flag tnem down? Thanks.

This sounds great.

How does ticketing work? Are shows clustered together - $6 for a few of them? Or is it $6 for each individual performance even if they run back to back? Thanks for the info.

I did expect this place to be a bastion of assholery and did not go there for the first year or 2 it was open. However, in recent visits I've enjoyed it very much.
