Well Ward A still has only 58% reporting so far. It could still change but its very unlikely.

GAJEWSKI 1C 1,502 37.11%

EPPS, Jr. 3C 1,807 44.65%

Thanks, I will be fist pumping for Frank if there is run off, I am happy Steve won but I am ecstatic that Viola and Peter are done! Best news all day.

Based off of Ward F's council fight I'm guessing that the vote for Healy vs. Fulop was pretty damn split 50/50 here. Coleman who is on Fulop's team has a very slight lead over Robinson (Healy team) that she has been maintaining but it looks like there will be a runoff. Most people tend to vote down party lines unless they have a clear favorite that makes them break in a particular race. My mother only decided this week to vote for Coleman, mostly because she didn't think she has been there long enough and should be given a chance. Chantel Snow, who was on the Walker team, is a very distant 4th. Independent Kenny Reyes is beating her.

Oh the guy who was probably too hungover to tell my neighborhood to evacuate is finally defeated? Not a day too soon.

Osborne is the only council candidate who crossed the 50 percent threshold necessary to avoid a runoff, winning 64 percent of the vote tonight to Dan Levin's 23 percent. Fletcher Gensamer, the third candidate, won 8 percent.

I really hope that is the case, I can not imagine him as my councilman that would be a nightmare.

In the wards Healy was counting on, 89% have been counted, with only 40-something percent counted in Ward E, Fulop Country. It's not gonna change in Healy's favor.

Maybe this election just simply wore him down. He put a lot of energy into this one and Healy is not a young guy. He probably is just tired of it. I'm not sympathizing, but this is probably what was going through his head.

Fulop achieves the Coup d'?tat across the board! Looks like all three at large candidates and the Ward E council will be his endorsements! Wonderful!

Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy just called the election for challenger Steven Fulop.

"If there is anything I can do to help him out after the transition, I stand ready, willing, and able to do it," Healy said.

His comments drew cheers from a tearful crowd at his Oakland Avenue headquarters. The crowd chanted back "We love you, mayor."

"Thank you all and God bless you all, by the way, I am still going to Casino in the Park," the mayor said, referring to the Jersey City catering house where a celebration was planned.

When he called the race the screen in the front of the room read, "Fulop 52.1 percent of the vote (14,675 votes), while Healy tallied 38.6 percent (10,860 votes.)
