always check that a food pantry will accept baby food before dropping it off. i used to volunteer at a food pantry in monmouth county and we had to throw away all baby food no matter what - the philosophy being babies are a high risk population and it's risky to feed a baby something without knowing where it came from.

I have been giving to HIGHWAYS (The Windmill Alliance) in Bayonne - located right by the Windmill. They provide assistance to adults with mental and/or physical challenges. They will take anything of value - either to provide to their serviced community or to sell in their store.
