I think you overrate the influence of The Star Ledger, Tom Moran, and NJ.com. There really isn't much of a NJ media, anyway. If this were David Paterson vs. the NY Post or the NY Times, I would agree.

Yes, and reporters don't like getting slapped down, especially by someone who relies on them to get their message out. Christie is going to alienate the press, and there is no recovering from that.

It was directed at a guy named "Tom." I'm pretty certain that is Tom Moran of The Star Ledger and NJ.com, i.e., one of the more influential media sources in the state of NJ.

@hamiltonparkjc: Removing Justice Wallace is never something he hid. When he campaigned he told people who he would support in the court. He told people ahead of time, and people voted for him. Clearly majority don't find it the most pressing issue at the time. We do need to bring some diversy to the court.

Re: "Christie will ... let NJ's already struggling large cities die" Ohh, so our local officials screw up and we blame the incoming governor for taking away something we should not have?

What have I done:

1. Personally stopped crimes from taking place and reported crimes in Downtown JC

3. Contributed financially to our next Mayors campaign!

Christie has been Governor for a couple of months just like Obama has been president for a year and I have not said anything negative about him because I am capable of giving people a chance.

I dont need to see JCHursts negative comments and I will call him an asshole when need be!

Christie can take whatever tone he wants to. His present antagonism and outright rudeness directed at the Trenton press corp is not going to earn him any credibility with the very people responsible for keeping the voters informed and molding public perception. The media is not liberal and the media is not conservative, but the media does consist of people who want to be treated with decency and respect, neither of which Christie nor his administration has demonstrated. The press is going to rip him to shreds not because of his politics but because he is an asshole.

Corzine was waste of time. No doubt. Don't let that distract you from the issue that Christie will lower taxes for all the wrong people and let NJ's already struggling large cities die all over again by pulling money from schools and public safety without offering any solutions.

He said it right there. He's not for improved government, he's just for smaller government and lower taxes. That's it. Tear it down and let someone else worry about the ramifications. We've seen this movie. Doesn't end well.

Removing Justice Wallace from the court was plainly an asshole move and he's just getting started. I fail to see how you can live in this city and think this man will benefit this town one iota.

Not only Christie but your as well jcboyz are an asshole! Pompous posturing as the "tough guy" are what are typical of self-serving politicians, and Christie is no different.

Anyone who lives in JC knows how much JPHurst has contributed to our city. Neighborhood organizations have been led by JPHurst and had his contributions for city-wide preservation of JC's history including the JC Landmarks Conservancy and even today he is leading a tour of the history of the Village here in JC.

What have you or Christie done to improve life in JC, jcboyz?
