Bursting at the seams last night--parties and a great time with wonderful food.
Not to mention the free parking lot. We had a family group of twelve and were treated and feted in a caring family style.

Cue up the Little italy bashing now.

Agreed. Nothing special at all here from the ambiance, food or service in my handful of experiences. I always vow never to return...a vow I've broken several times. Better suited for a strip mall in a suburb somewhere.

We had similar experiences. Went there twice. Both times the food was bland and the side pastas were way overcooked to the point of being mush. If a place is bad once, I'll gladly try again, but two times is enough not to go back.

Went here once several years ago - pasta was OK, meatballs tasted like wet cardboard. Haven't been back since and have no plans going in the future.

I would never admit that publicly again. Prestos?? Talk about jarred sauce and microwaved garbage. Wow.

This restaurant is nothing special... they have fairly average ratings on services such as Yelp and TripAdvisor:
- Foursquare: 3.4/5 -- below avg
- Yelp: 3.5/5 -- below avg
- TripAdvisor: 4.0/5 -- avg
- Google: 4.1/5 -- avg

There are far better Italian restaurants in JC ... let's take an example of Porto Leggero which has higher ratings in every way:
- Foursquare: 4.0 @ 50 reviews
- Google: 4.5 @ 239 reviews
- TripAdvisor: 4.5 @ 170 reviews
- Yelp: 4.0 @ 159 reviews
Also Laico's and others...

Agree on the food but they need to dim the 100 watt lights a little bit. I get it, the clients are mostly old folks who can't see. But man, it really detracts from the ambiance.

We had a wonderful meal last night at the restaurant--our favorite home style Italian place to eat.
Sadly, the place was practically empty. I hope that this was due to the horrific traffic on Grand Street due to construction or street work I guess. Hopefully, that's all it was because the restaurant is an old style gem.
