This restaurant is nothing special... they have fairly average ratings on services such as Yelp and TripAdvisor:
- Foursquare: 3.4/5 -- below avg
- Yelp: 3.5/5 -- below avg
- TripAdvisor: 4.0/5 -- avg
- Google: 4.1/5 -- avg

There are far better Italian restaurants in JC ... let's take an example of Porto Leggero which has higher ratings in every way:
- Foursquare: 4.0 @ 50 reviews
- Google: 4.5 @ 239 reviews
- TripAdvisor: 4.5 @ 170 reviews
- Yelp: 4.0 @ 159 reviews
Also Laico's and others...

In addition to this excellent store in The Heights area of JC, there are a number of Polish Stores in Bayonne:

Warsaw Deli -> 759 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002
Sawa Provision -> 588 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002
Henry's Deli -> 488 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002
Alex & Terry's Deli -> 798 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002

The best ones are probably Sawa & Henry's... but each & ever one has their pros+cons.

There are no published timetables or SLAs... if there is demand later at night, the buses will eventually adapt and provide a best-effort service... but I would probably take Uber anyway

I hope that this outlet lasts and doesn't shut down after a few months when the owner realises they are not able to make enough income. Some other Polish stores in JC suffered that fate...

This indeed is a great place and it looks like it has good reviews already on Google. Highly recommended, just wish it was a little closer to downtown...

Re: Did PATH finally increase frequency?

Hear! Hear! Agreed. The frequency of every 35 mins is DISMAL at nights/early mornings/late evenings during the weekend... This is 2017, not 1970... even during the day on Sat+Sun, WTC-NWK service could be a lot more frequent.

Also, the whole "go through Hoboken" at weekends is very inefficient, feels like a hack where they have to turn the train around half-way through its journey (again, this is 2017, not 1970), they could continue the HOB-JSQ line at weekends ... OK, if not, then at least increase the frequency of JSQ-HOB-33 during weekend evenings/mornings.

And yes, I was on that PACKED train at 1am... so packed, it feels like rush hour and guess what I waited 30 mins for it...

Actually, forget 10 or 15 ... the frequency at the weekends for WTC is only every 20 minutes...

From Grove St on Sat+Sun, trains to WTC are at 15, 35 and 55 past every hour.

During the mornings, it's even worse, eg on Sunday morning, there is a WTC train at 8:20, 8:55, 9:30 and at 10:05 ... notice that it's every 35 mins! Only 1 train during the whole 9am period.

I guess JSQ meets all your criteria, but I would also try the area around Liberty State Park - it's very well connected on the Light Rail and you may find some cheaper rentals a few minutes walk to the Light Rail. If all else fails, Bayonne or further into JC, but close to Light Rail can be a nice experience.

Re: Fulton's Landing Condo Opinions?

I am currently renting in Fulton's Landing... it's a fairly OK building and I'm happy to be renting here - it's better value than some other places (eg: Montgomery Greene), and it's concrete & steel, so fairly sturdy. You can not hear the Light Rail unless you're north-facing (Essex St). Noise insulation is not too bad.

The concierge is really good and greets you by your name every day, which is different than my previous building and they're very good with packages and dry-laundry. As far as electricity, it's all electric and my bills are about $100-$150 a month (2 bed/2 bath), but the units hold heat well, so I'm not blasting full heat.

The windows are not the highest quality, cos they're a little tough to open (slide-up & can be a tad heavy), but nothing too bad.

I would generally say that it's a modern building, definitely qualifies as "luxury condo", that's not too fancy, but actually pretty good and I like the 24/7 gym.
