Chicago has seen its murder toll skyrocket this year. The nation's third-largest city has recorded more homicides than New York and Los Angeles combined in 2016. Homicides were up nearly 50% for the first half of 2016 compared to the same period last year. Police have also already recovered 6,000 illegally possessed guns off the streets of Chicago this year.

Chicago Police say the vast majority of victims and assailants are on its Strategic Subject List, a predictive roster that the department generates by crunching arrest information, gang affiliation, shooting patterns and other data. The list includes about 1,400 individuals.

So you're saying that other cities with strict gun control laws imposed by liberal mayors also have problems? I, for one, am shocked! Shocked I say!

Maybe guns aren't the problem. Maybe the problem is with the certain demographic that always seems to be caught firing them at others. Nah, too simple, couldn't be. Ban all guns!

Why do you think that demographic is using guns illegally?

Primarily due to an absolute shit culture which glorifies violence and promiscuity while shunning education. Poor impulse control as well. Combined with the fact that 75% of them are born to single mothers, with no father in sight (in large part because of my first sentence).

It's a recipe for many problems, but the guns themselves are not one of them.

I bet the funeral directors and coffin manufacturers are rubbing their hands together - I wonder if they offer package or bulk discounts to drug and biker gangs !

Wait, I thought the biggest problem in JC is circus animals, not shootings.

JERSEY CITY ? Police are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man early Friday morning ? what is at least the city's ninth shooting since Tuesday.
