Donald Trump - racist, sexist, xenophobe. Perfect candidate for the GOP.

The only "pundits" saying that are people who would never vote for Trump anyway (including yourself). The media has been out to get Trump since day 1, but their hit jobs haven't worked.

Does Rubio advocating Self-Deportation? Doesn't he know that's partly the reason Romney lost? "What in the world does Rubio hope to gain by suggesting self-deportation is somehow a political winner for the GOP?"

That's an interesting assessment. Most pundits agree that it was Rubio's best debate performance so far.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politic ... ate/ar-BBq1Hkf?li=BBnb7Kz A highlight was when Rubio smacked down Trump on repeating himself. And after the debate Rubio called trump a con artist - http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/26/politic ... g-show-attacks/index.html Quote:

If he manages to accumulate the necessary minimum to have a majority (1,237 out of 2,472) then he WILL be the nominee. The way things are rolling for him, he could very well find himself with that minimum before the convention. Next Tuesday should be very, very telling. Very few people could have predicted this situation and the way things have unfolded. Quote:
It *could* be a spectacle, but it has happened before, so it is not an "end of world" show that some think/hope it will be. In 1976, the GOP managed to get things settled by the time the first vote was held.

Trump is going to win the largest number of delegates but that doesn't mean he is going to get nominated.
I'm really hoping to see Broker Convention. It's going to be a political spectacle!

Would absolutely love if Trump won the nomination and picked Rubio as his VP. Christie could be Attorney General or head of Homeland Security.

Point of fact: Christie is claiming to be different. I'm not the one demanding that he be different. Making the argument that he's like everyone else belies Christie's very argument. Point of fact: Christie routinely overspent as US Attorney on lavish hotels, not just nice hotels. He also overspends as governor. If Booker is demanding that the state of NJ pay NJ State Troopers to take up hotel space in the most expensive hotels, then, yeah, I won't be happy. This whole part of your argument is based on a hypothetical. In regards to Bernie... Vermont isn't footing the bill for his security. I'm not complaining about him receiving a salary. I'm complaining about Chris Chrisitie using state funds to pay for the hotels of him and state police. I'm complaining about New Jersey footing the bill for him to travel back from New Hampshire for one day so that he can claim that he was here for the snowfall. This is the problem. Christie says that teachers need to suck it up and take pay cuts and lose pension money because the state is bankrupt. Christie then takes the money that should have been in the pension and spends it on a stay at the Four Seasons. If you don't call that being a hypocrite, I don't know what to tell you. When Christie goes on the campaign trail and talks about how he "earned" where he got while completely ignoring the fact that tax payers are footing the bill for his hotel room... yeah, he's just one full of shit scumbag stealing from you and I.

Gotcha. Are you demanding that Bernie pay back Vermont as well? And yes, politicians do stay in nice places-Christie included. If he was any different than any other politician you'd have a point, but since he's not you don't.
But other than partisan party people it's a non-argument. Because if you demand this of Christie-let's say Booker gets the nod for Veep. Will you demand he do the same while he'd be stumping?

Christie is well known for only staying in four star resorts. If you are unaware of this, check his record as US Attorney and how he routinely went over his allotted travel budget. However, his run for president included paying for state troopers to be in those same hotels with him. As for running for higher office... I'm not opposed to it. It is no different than a private person looking for a new job. The difference here is that I don't expect my current employer to pay for the gas it takes for me to get to the other interview. I don't expect my current employer to pay people to say good things on my behalf. I don't expect my current employer to give me additional vacation days in order to chase a new job. If Christie wants to run for president and chase a dream that everyone knew was impossible, fine. He should be able to pay for his new job search with his own money.

I guess you should support legislation that prevents any government employee from running for higher office. It'll take years to pay off the incidental costs? That's beneath your intellect, Pebs. Besides it's probably less than the cost of one day of vacation of any sitting POTUS.

Really...? The amount of bills Christie saddled us with on his big adventure in New Hampshire will take decades to pay off. EVERYONE new he was a loser and had no shot. The Attorney General gig would be his regardless of a run or not (should one of the rest of the idiots in that field win the election).

Nah, compound all those 5-7% yearly municipal taxes that Christie has kept to 2% and the middle class is thrilled that Corzine and Buono didn't get a chance to further screw them.

I'm so happy that Christie spent all of those New Jersey tax dollars to chase a dream that was never close to a reality. I'm sure he'll go back to work screwing those in New Jersey further.
I'm sure that he'll go out and blame teachers and road workers making $50k a year for losing the race and work his darndest to get their salaries even lower...

As Chris Christie exits, his next move matters:
http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-sh ... s-next-move-matters#break In retrospect, he might have been the best Republican candidate...but that's ONLY because everyone else is so pathetic!

It was a vast, left wing conspiracy! As far as the 'absentee' stuff, doesn't everyone running for POTUS have to do this? A one term Senator did this and is now the POTUS. Who's bringing the pork back and representing Vermont in DC now? But Christie can get a lot done in NJ before he leaves Trenton and let's hope he wields the veto pen wisely to slow the insane NJ Legislature from taxing us into oblivion.

He never even had the slightest chance, IMO. After 7 months of screwing around with this, maybe he'll get back to work and do something for NJ?? He's got just over 2 years to go-

Gov. Chris Christie suspended his campaign for president Wednesday, ending his quest to become the first New Jerseyan to win the White House since Woodrow Wilson a century ago. The governor had a meeting with staff in Morristown where he thanked them for their support and suspended campaign. Christie arrived at the Morristown headquarters shortly after 4 p.m. to inform staffers and volunteers of his decision, Christie campaign spokeswoman, Nicole Sizemore, confirmed. More
