Hard to believe that selling $9.00 bottles of juice isn't a sustainable business model.

I went in once and was really confused that they did not do smoothies and slushies. Figured they would close really quickly, and I'm not surprised that they did. Dumb business model.

i'll take your word on it, since the only reason i ever visited either was because a friend of mine worked there. i have definitely heard a couple customer's comment while i was bs'ing with him that the prices here are much better. perhaps they meant nyc?

whatever, they're closed. sucks for my friend. maybe we'll get that whole foods now, etc

Wrong. It was about 9$ for about 350-400 cc and Nature's house charges about 6$ for 650 cc or so.

Strange you'd say that, considering their prices were generally cheaper than other juicing places

Rent must have been too expensive for what was essentially a juice vending machine.

100% right. Offering only bottled juices doesn't make sense for a storefront. Hopefully whichever juice company moves in will offer custom smoothies, bowls, and possibly even healthy food options. THEN you've got a sustainable model. Liquidteria is a prime example of that.

kinda surprising. their margins were astonishingly high (like 450% profit margins before labor) that i figured they'd stick around for a while until the fad wore off.

Or maybe it's the first sign that it is?

sad to see them close...they were pricey but not as pricey as many of the places in manhattan. i'm not sure jersey ave has the density, mass yet to support that kind of place. if it were closer to grove st. station, it might be more convenient for juicing people

Sad to see this go. Was a bit pricey for my pocketbook but the product was of very high-quality. Something tells me they are not going out of business, I think they may have decided not to have their own brick and mortar store but instead focus on the production end of the business and distribute their product in other retailers' locations.

That's too bad. They had great product even if it was very pricey.
