Hard to believe that selling $9.00 bottles of juice isn't a sustainable business model.

i'll take your word on it, since the only reason i ever visited either was because a friend of mine worked there. i have definitely heard a couple customer's comment while i was bs'ing with him that the prices here are much better. perhaps they meant nyc?
whatever, they're closed. sucks for my friend. maybe we'll get that whole foods now, etc

Wrong. It was about 9$ for about 350-400 cc and Nature's house charges about 6$ for 650 cc or so.

Strange you'd say that, considering their prices were generally cheaper than other juicing places

100% right. Offering only bottled juices doesn't make sense for a storefront. Hopefully whichever juice company moves in will offer custom smoothies, bowls, and possibly even healthy food options. THEN you've got a sustainable model. Liquidteria is a prime example of that.

yah it's true. especially with subia's right next door that makes smoothies to order and are delicious. i had their bottled smoothies at juicewell once or twice, but :/ subia's was better.

Whenever I would consider trying them, I was waylaid by Choc o Pain, which is just as healthy... :)

Tough sell to begin with but fait accompli were the prices. Way, way, way overpriced were the juice blends. Upon inquiry, was informed that the price of the blending machine(s) were at root.

kinda surprising. their margins were astonishingly high (like 450% profit margins before labor) that i figured they'd stick around for a while until the fad wore off.
Or maybe it's the first sign that it is?

When ever I am dtjc and in need of a smoothie or a natural juice beverage I hit up Nature?s House, nothing else comes close.

maybe a small batch mayo store will move in. I think we're ready for that.

sad to see them close...they were pricey but not as pricey as many of the places in manhattan. i'm not sure jersey ave has the density, mass yet to support that kind of place. if it were closer to grove st. station, it might be more convenient for juicing people

Sad to see this go. Was a bit pricey for my pocketbook but the product was of very high-quality. Something tells me they are not going out of business, I think they may have decided not to have their own brick and mortar store but instead focus on the production end of the business and distribute their product in other retailers' locations.

I liked their juice, but it never made sense to me why they didnt have smoothies or fresh juice options available. They only sold pre-bottled stuff. Somehing akin to Liquidteria in NYC would make a lot more sense - http://liquiteria.com/ - They have pre-bottled stuff but also make awesome smoothies and any juice combination you want fresh, to order.
Rent must have been too expensive for what was essentially a juice vending machine.

Just went to grab some juice at Juicewell only to find they were in the process of moving out. I asked the lady, who I'm assuming was the owner, and she said they've closed and are moving out. She said a new juice company was planning on moving in.
