Who knew? I'm gay, and I've lived here 6 years, and I never in 999,994 years would have thought JC was the place to be for a gay person! I guess that's the silver lining in my mortgage being underwater and stuck here...

OK, you got me scratching my head. Is this some kind of inside joke this het doesn't get? I always thought transsexuals were motivated to be inconspicuous and natural in their chosen gender, not to be spotted as such on the street. Or do you actually mean drag queens, where standing out IS the point?

The main candidate outside of Hudson County would be Asbury Park...

I use to go to this bar years ago, it was called The Cage, and about 80% of their clientele were JC folks and the other percentage were Hoboken and NYC folks.

I guess Maplewood is the gay bashing portion Brooklyn...

Hahahah, despite our usual differences and clashing, points for this one. I chuckled.

That's not entirely correct. When I was a college senior in 1986, Hoboken was in fact a Manhattan alternative for many gays and remained so for some time. There remains a gay presence in Hoboken. But the hets swooped in with their progeny and strollers right away. Quote:

Maybe Edgewater and West New York but not really. Gays are not and never have been attracted to frat infested Hoboken.
