I am not alone in thinking that Mayor Healy has lost all credibility and integrity.

Go to city hall and ask to see the mayor then ask him for yourself. I for one like the Christmas card he sent me it has a beautiful picture of his family on the front.

That would require effort. Sniping is so much easier.

Back of card: "Not paid for by Taxpayer dollars. Paid for by Healy for Mayor 2009"

They're giving the CDs out at the Mayor's Office. I picked one up today, and listened to it in the car.

It is JerseyCitylicious!

............and he does a pretty good Blue Christmas.

Healy sings on TV tomorrow

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

First, senior citizens in Jersey City. Now Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy will get a chance to impress a regional television audience.

The mayor will sing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" from his recently released Christmas CD live on Fox 5's "Good Day NY" tomorrow at 8:15 a.m.

The mayor's CD has drawn attention from news outlets across the region and has been received with much acclaim.

"We're happy about the opportunity to appear on the show and to continue one of my most important functions, which is to be an advocate and ambassador for our great city," Healy said.

Want to sample the CD? A recent post to The Jersey Journal's Hudson County Now blog contains an audio.

Please don't tell me that the school board agreed to buy the cd's to give out to the kids ?

I guess this should help pay for his legal bills.

Former Mayor Cunningham had the "Mayor-Man" comic books made depicting him as a super hero and Mayor Healy has a Christmas CD.....(I heard it and you can tell by his singing he had fun doing it)...Good for him!

There is an old saying in Politics "When the villagers are chasing
you down the street, turn it into a parade"

This was a very very smart PR move.I got one and its nicely packaged, was made in a studio and i bet all the seniors will love it.

How about a download site? I love Christmas music (listening to Bing right now). At least our mayor has a sense of humor and is willing to put himself out and sing.

I think he just secured another term. No, I do not work for JC nor do I condone (nor condemn) public nakedness.

I'm pretty sure people are allowed to have lives outside of their day-to-day jobs. FYI I'm not defending him, I'm certainly not a fan of Healey.

The disc contains seven Christmas favorites and two bonus songs.
The two bonus songs will be Steve Lipski's plaintive rendition of "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?"... ... and a Phil and Willie Flood duet of Roy Orbison's "Workin' For The Man":

Healy: Have yourself a merry little Christmas with my CD
Thursday, December 18, 2008
It's the ultimate Jersey City stocking stuffer.

Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy - known for his "Folsom Prison Blues" rendition at this year's Irish Festival after-party - has now taken on the Christmas classics in a just-released CD.

Entitled "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," it includes such holiday standards as "White Christmas," "Let it Snow" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as well as two non-holiday bonus songs: "God Bless America" and "The Way You Look Tonight."

Healy will distribute the CD, which features backup vocals by members of the St. Dominic Academy Choir, to senior citizens today at the Maureen Collier Senior Center, 335 Bergen Ave., during their annual Christmas party.

The CD was paid for by Healy for Mayor 2009.

AMY SARA CLARK

================================

Oh my god, whI might have to crash the senior citizen's party to get my hands on this. I thought this was a joke, but no, it's for real. The Way You Look Tonight??? Wow. Just wow.

Jersey City mayor releases Christmas music CD
by The Associated Press
Thursday December 18, 2008, 10:46 AM

Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy, who has become known for singing at informal gatherings, is releasing a CD of his own.

Healy, who's been mayor of New Jersey's second largest city for the last four years, said music was a big part of his family's Christmas tradition dating back to when they emigrated from Ireland.

The disc contains seven Christmas favorites and two bonus songs. It's produced by Cliff Perkins of the vocal group Soul Generation, and members of the St. Dominic Academy Choir provide backup.

Healy plan to distribute copies of the CD today.

Glad to see with all the other problems in Jersey City solved, we can finally tackle the lack of Christmas CDs.
