Great idea, how about a few artists from 111, they are an endangered species. We can move the entire Powerhouse Arts District to the Embankment, that will solve many problems.

Won't work. They tore down 111 First anyway and it had over 100+ artists at one time.

Actually, you could plant bamboo, which thrives in most climates, grows quickly, spreads even faster, and cost quite a bit to remove.

The predators have already arrived. What do you think Hyman and Conrail are?

Oh good. Rabbits attract coyotes and other predators. That means we may get the 6th St. Embankment added to the NJDEP's small game hunting Zone 36 (covering Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Passaic counties.) Lock 'n' load!

On my way to the gym yesterday morning I saw two white rabbits on the corner of Coles and 6th. I have to believe they were probably house pets that were let loose or accidentally got away. Some poor kid is probably crying for his lost Easter present.

Well, that explains why last summer I saw a big fat bunny hopping blithely along in the alley way between All Ironworks on Coles and the embankment.

I was surprised at how healthy and animated he was and thought he might have been a pet that had recently escaped. escaped from someone's pen.

Does anyone know how to prepare fried rabbit?

1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 wild rabbit or 2 squirrels, cut up
vegetable oil
3 T. flour
1 1/2 c. milk or chicken broth
salt and pepper
brown bouquet sauce

In a lg. plastic food-storage bag, combine 1/3 c. flour, the salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Shake to mix. Add rabbit/squirrel pieces and shake to coat.

In a lg. skillet, heat 1/4" of oil for rabbit, or 1/8" of oil for squirrel, over med-high heat until hot. Add coated meat. Brown on all sides. Reduce heat and cover tightly. Cook over very low heat until tender, 20-25 mins. for rabbit, 35-45 mins. for squirrel, turning pieces once. Remove cover, and cook 5 mins. longer to crisp.
Transfer meat to plate lined with paper towels. Set aside to keep warm.

Discard all but 3 T. oil. Over med. heat, stir flour into reserved oil. Blend in milk. Cook over med. heat, stirring constantly, until
thicken and bubbly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add bouquet sauce if darker color is desired. Serve gravy with meat.

Now cut that out!

Maybe we can send some of them over to Van Vorst to coax that damn african boomsling out of the sandbox.

Both stories are equally believable.

Not to mention the fact that the article is imbedded as some sort of scan, & the purported AP byline doesn't exist.
