Thanks! I am quite familiar with this spot, Great for small stuff, lighting, and a few gadgets. I have been going here for a few years and never ran across an entire vintage kitchen.

While it is listed, Amighini, has a physical presence in JC, it is 246 Beacon Avenue, close to Kennedy Blvd.

I'd be fine to talk architecture, food, sports, art-it doesn't have to be political! And if you ever have time, the Millburn Short Hills Historical Society is open (limited hours, though) and is located at the Short Hills NJT train station. They sell two walking tour booklets that showcase some of the amazing houses in the area. The Boxcar Bar and Grill is located there as well, and it's a short walk to the Hartshorn Arboretum and Stone House. Greenwood Gardens is another destination a short drive away and worth a visit.

Thanks for the history it's a great little town, it actually feels like an old town with history. Jersey City tears everything down and builds something gaudy and unpleasant with floor to ceiling windows lol. Which makes sense there being no salvage shops here.

I frequent the area around Adamstown Pennsylvania for salvage yards and do some 'picking' - Been doing it for years as a kid with dad; you'll be amazed with the markets their and roadside things on offer.

I often wanted to set-up a bus tour of the area for local and inter-state travellers when I was younger to generate some income (pocket-money) on the week-ends.

You might try eBay. They often have vintage kitchen cabinets for local pick-up. Depending on how far you're willing to drive, you might find something.

Yes I have been here to shop for clients but I don't want to invest this type of money in my 1960's colonial town house LOL. Also the last time I was there they did not have any kitchen cabinets from the 60's. Thanks!

I am looking for cabinetry and windows from the the 1960's . I work from home most times and use one of my spare bedrooms as an office and need more storage space. I would like the storage space to match the era of the house. I found a Salvage spot in Milburn yesterday and it was OK, some nice pieces, but they mostly had furniture. I am looking for 1960's kitchen cabinets or windows that I can make into cabinets. Something like this would be ideal!!!!!
Resized Image

I would even settle for something like this 3 or more of themResized Image
, just remove the legs and make it a wall cabinet

Hi Everyone!

I am looking for a near by salvage material place close to JC. Some where in n.j. Would be nice. I only know of two and both are in NYC. One in Chelsea and the other in Brooklyn. Are there any in the garden state? Thanks a bunch. Happy holidays.
