Screw it? the White Castle at the Blvd and Newark (or any WC) beats both the JC White MANA and the Hackensack White MANNA hands down!!
(any old-timers remember the story about hippies putting LSD in the JC WC ketchup bottles?) (did you know that the Blvd and Newark WC is the second WC on that site?)

the lack of flavor in the burger in JC is all i need to know.
ate there 3 times (to make sure!) and all 3 times it was lame. Hackensack is far, far superior in every way.

The JC Mana is the best...you can get a side order of history with your burger!

How is this up for discussion? The hackensack one is far superior.

Jersey City's White Mana to face Hackensack's White Manna on 'Food Feuds'
Published: Thursday, November 04, 2010, 9:50 AM Ashley Strain/The Jersey Journal The White Mana at Tonnelle and Manhattan avenues in Jersey City is the subject of a 'Food Feuds' episode tonight on The Food Network. The Food Network's "Food Feuds" has come to Hudson and Bergen counties to settle a battle that's lasted for decades between the White Mana in Jersey City and the White Manna in Hackensack. Iron Chef Michael Symon recently visited both locations, working in the kitchens and tasting the locally renowned burgers. "Food Feuds" will declare a champion tonight at 10 on the Food Network. "Our location is the original," said Mario Costa, proprietor of the White Mana in Jersey City. "We still use the original ingredients for our burgers, Wonderbread, Heinz pickles, chopped onions and beef that's delivered fresh every day." The location in Jersey City was the first White Mana to open and the structure served patrons of the 1939 World's Fair. The original owner, Louis Bridges, was Costa's boss. When Costa graduated from college he decided to purchase the diner and has kept it the same ever since. "The White Manna in Hackensack is nothing like the original," Costa said. "Our diner is round, so you never have to walk more than three steps to cook and serve customers. The one in Hackensack is a square, little thing." ...... full JJ piece with picture
