Support the artist?! its just some guy with a sax on the street! How about going to where actually musicians play in a venue?! oh wait Jersey City has almost none of those. Why not go down to NJCU and catch out their Jazz program? Some guy noodling on the street is not a musician.

Living in this area why go to a "music school"? With some of the greatest instrumentalists in the world in the area why not just contact the musicians directly for lessons?

Seriously what has Michelle Massey done for us? Most of her Ward is in the dark, cold, and hungry right now. Just remember that on Tuesday at the polls.

Vote for Coleman.

Where is all this anger coming from? It's really depressing to witness every damn day.

Its a North East thing. I was in Hawaii last month, after 2 days everything that got me angry here didn't get me angry there. Its the pace of life here. Its stressful.

I doubt they're being shipped. It only takes 20 minutes to get rid of one of these cars. They get chopped up quick.

On another car related point. The police could easily reduce crime and raise revenue if they just stopped and towed every car with overly tinted windows. You're not allowed to have the front windows tinted and yet tons of cars have them. Its already illegal to have the windows who knows what else they do.

It's a waste of time. Booting in that area is to protect the residents from all the commuter students. The area around the University has signs everywhere stating its a zoned area.

You show up, they heard you in a giant room, no cellphones, but you can use a laptop and read. They separate you into groups. Each group is lead into court rooms to meet a judge, he then calls out your number. People are seperated into jury pools and if you're not called you can go home. Most of the judges if you try to say you can't make it will just reschedule to come back. Petit jury lasts until the trial ends usually. :I had grand jury... 12 weeks.

Re: JC Man Charged with Sexual Assault - 15 Year Old Victim

Sorry let me elaborate on his already bad reputation. In many towns in New Jersey marching band is important. There are competitions. It looks great for the school during football games because it is well rounded. So many schools hire extra coordinators to help out during marching band season. They teach drill, color guard, and actual playing. Usually to get one of these jobs it helps to know the high school band director(which he did in that school). Of course schools want musicians who have drum corp experience to teach. Note that they are hired back by the districts they came from so actual musical ability isn't in the equation.

So this guy gets hired by his old district to work with a bunch of high schoolers. Unfortunately he reverts to old habits at his old haunts. Thinks that these girls are his age still and well this is what happens.

No he isn't a teacher, but the district is paying him as an instructor and should be charged as one.

oh Also fun fact: Legally a 15 year old in NJ cannot consent to have sex with anyone. Age of consent is 16.

I love live music. But some places have no idea of what moderation is. A few years ago on one of our rare nights out my wife and I dropped into Hard Grove after hearing a live salsa band inside while walking by. It was INSANELY, VICIOUSLY loud! I mean, that's a small room, you don't need to amp the freakin drums and horns. There was no chance of talking to anyone without actually shouting in their ear. Remember, this isn't in a danceclub, it's in a restaurant! We simply couldn't stay long.

My sister used to hang out with the jazz musician crowd, and I learned one of the things that makes a musician a pro, even if he plays a horn or drums, is being able to play to the room, not always at full volume. I don't think there's a venue in JC besides the Loews that requires amping the drumkit and horns. They're designed to be loud, I guess most of us aren't old enough to remember big bands, but they played large dancehalls with little amping of anything but the vocals and guitar.

That is the problem. Once you bring in amplified instruments as a horn player you feel you need some help. You always try to play to the room of course. But I'll be honest, around the 4th set its just getting through it. I think its a good idea, just the establishments will have to take precautions in soundproofing.

I can see the up tick in crime. As a professional musician I've seen many of my colleagues abuse narcotics and alcohol. Harass women. Double park to load and unload gear. Public urination.

But hey we always provide a good time.

Not serious solution: release hundreds of deer. Ever see a car hit one or a buck? The vehicle doesnt win.

Seriously though this is a policing issue. Ive seen police pull people over for traffic violations. From turning the wrong way to merging to close to the person in back of them. There needs to be more patrols.

The provider should not be allowed to balance bill you. You should ha e received rights with your denial letter. One last bit of info. They may be able to ask for money if you went a non par provider without approval.

I work in the industry sadly and doctor's offices and hospitals try this all the time. Re-read your initial adverse determination and final adverse determination letters and it might mention what you owe. They cannot balance bill unless its stated in your contract.

Decriminalize drugs and heavily tax and regulate them. Gangs wont have as much of a purpose without the drug trade.

Step up? How about get public transportation to a usable level. Ensure that people can get on them in the morning, instead of letting them be flooded with kids, and run more then every 40 minutes in the morning!

How about actually enforcing parking laws?

I'll step up when you've made sure we got what is supposed to be the bare minimum.

I'll just preemptively not take them. Believe me, I am not a freaking prude. But I certainly don't need to my girls think it's OK to sexualize themselves to make money.

1. The fact that you know what the studio Brazzers is somewhat disqualifies your points. Are you saying that the girls in those videos shouldn't be allowed to make appearences at bars in JC even clothed?

2. I welcome this place. My fiance and I go to Hooters together and this place will be nearer. Finally somewhere closer for us to cry about the Mets.

Wait hold on so you're saying to not wait in the intersection to make a turn because of oncoming traffic so you can make the turn before the light turns? Because its considered acceptable driving in NJ and is encouraged in the manual.

If you really look at US History our government has always been a power struggle between the Supreme court and the Congress.

Everyone who except Obama to be this leader who would just barrel through to get his way was wrong. Really besides Bush the only other two presidents who commanded that much power out of the seat were FDR and Jefferson.

Getting back to the point. Its not democrat or Republican its the fact that we have a group of corrupt individuals in office.

I dunno I thought the real problem was the majority of the Levin signs I saw were in downtown. If you want a downtown candidates to win a city wide election you gotta fan out. You're outnumbered face it. Regroup and try again, but you have to spread the word better. I mean I live in ward F and even though I didn't vote for her Viola Richardson came right up to my door and shook my hand as I was walking home. In ward F, with no escort of any sort. I voted for Dan, but his people were nowhere to be seen except ward E. I'm not saying completely nowhere, but it was few and far between.

Well of course right now hes gonna save you some money on electricity. Its winter. They claim to sell some stable rate while PSEG will fluctuate the cost month to month. So you can pay a stable X or go from a different price month to month. Most people I know who do this opt out as soon as possible.
