Maybe it was for Ecuadorian horses.

LOL!! To be honest I first thought it was an equestrian event. I know, I'm dumb!

But my husband and I had a lot of fun. It was a great little festival.

HOORAY TO ECUADOR FOR CELEBRATING 101 independent years!

How come there are very little American festivals, and a very small turnout for National parades ? It seems foreign based events command huge appearances from the foreign born and Americans as well. The 4th of July has the biggest turnout for an American based event. Memorial Day, and Veterens Day should get equal billing compared to all events held. August 6th was the 65th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, an American triumph !

Yeah... we can wave our guns around and maybe Sarah Palin can come and autograph our books. Now that we're all here, let's shut it down and party.

You sound like you have a problem with being a good American. You probably are rooting for the proposed mosque over in Manhattan.

the fireworks on the hudson generally clog up hoboken to the point where they don't let any more cars in. macys thanksgiving day parade has people from all over the country (and the world) show up. im not sure your argument holds water, unless you mean specifically within jersey city.

people go to events that they can have fun at. dancers and good food > a boring military parade

I love the many ethnic festivals that happen throughout the year in JC. Makes me proud to be an American!!! I read a few years ago that JC is the most ethnically diverse city in the country. Pretty cool. The Bolivian dancers in Saturday's parade were mind blowing. It was quite an interesting spectacle.

There is always something going on at Exchange I would keep an eye on stuff down there. Also the Bolivans had an event at city hall on Saturday.
